Its pretty tame. Its very limited. Not as many parades as previous years, not as many parties, but still lots of exposed bodies and boobies.

Its nice to have it be more of a local carnival this year. Theres not very many tourists here, with the hotels all being full, and the state of the city, its not very surprising. Im pretty excited about it, actually. Mardi Gras is the 28th. I really cant wait. Im going to dress up for the first time in literally 14 years.

Went to the Krewe de Vieux saturday before last (a very small local tradition) and the Krewe of Barkus (a parade consisting of people and their dogs, made up for Mardi Gras - thus the name BARKus instaed of Bacchus) this past Saturday.

Back to the game!
