Oh boy.....the quality of posts on this forum went waaay down recently. :convinced:

I happen to agree with this statement.......

Look at the threads. Where are the interesting discussions anymore? There used to be a lot more camaraderie and fun. Now it's reduced to 'fluff', yes, 'feel good crap-o-la', nonsense and 'unauthorized and unnecessary editing of some posts'.

This is an on line forum, there are many smart, helpful and funny people here who have been driven away by some and their behavior.......

Preco, I agree I'd like to see more interesting discussions and about the smart people

. But it's hard to have good banter of ideas when different opinions are attacked and insulted by those who disagree.

It is possible to discuss diverse ways of thinking without it becoming a battle of who's right and who's wrong. We can say "I disagree" without saying "Your Mama"! Too often here people's opinions are met w/sarcasm, insults...nothing creative. There's a whole lot of disrespect going around (not just here, the whole world) which squelches expression. Nobody wants to voice their opinion when it feel like standing on a stage and yelling, "Please throw stuff at me!"

I think that's why we've lost intellegent posters-Not because they weren't free to say what they want w/out it being censored, but because they weren't free to say what they thought without being attacked.


..you know even as I typed this I hesitated before hitting save, wondering if I'm really up to the attacks I'll probably receive later. That's just wrong.

Amen...Spoofee "use to be" fun, and more tongue in cheek rather than guns and knives. What is so disconcerting to me is when folks "try" to cover up the attack, when it is very apparent to whom they are addressing their diatribe. If one has something to say for heaven sakes, PM that individual and stop trying to be coy in the forums. Every conflict can serve to encourage change. Hope this serves to turn the tide of tone and content. I for one am tired of getting broken bottles tossed at me, however, I will defend the rights of the innocent. Time to "shake hands" move on, and get back to more friendly ground. Otherwise Spoofee will indeed to continue to loose valuable members.
