So BD..... :hmmmm2: how does one become a mod? How do you know what to do? Are there certain rules you have to abide by?
 
We try not to mention the secret initiation rituals that we perform with new moderators. That, at least, is the first step. ;)

I'll let BD answer the other questions since you asked him.

well. if people remember... one of the rituals was running through the forums nude.. although.. choo has definitely ran longer than need be.. babs.. please tel him to put on some clothes already..

Bribery and blackmail usually work best. If those don't work, washing Scoopons feet or supplying "beverages" for spaz for a week usually does the trick. :34: ;)

Seriously Spoofee should really answer this, but the first requirement is to have an actual need for one in a certain area and to find a person who likes Spoofee that is also helpful and friendly. But if that doesn't work, consider getting engaged to Choo. ;) ;) :clown: :clown: It's a joke!! There should be a mod opening soon. My mod days are over now. :( :verysad: :doh:

As far as knowing what to do, I still don't. Just ask preco, JMB, hawky, eabu etc. :proud:

As far as rules, there aren't any written ones besides the forum rules and we basically have to try to keep those in check. Although opinions of whether we do that fairly are unfortunately in question from some members at times.

It may be helpful to know who the mods are. You started this thread, that is why I asked you the questions BD.
So You, Choo, Spaz, Scoopons and is Babs a mod now?

Scoopons, Cedar, Big Daddy, Kage_, penpen, spazntwitch, babuska73

FYI this is the order they are in the the "Mod Lounge" although penpen is still on this list and Choo isn't for some reason. :hmmmm2: Seriously. That is strange. :convinced:

BTW if you click on the various forums (e.g., Freebies and Giveaways; Hot Deals, Coupons etc. and look in the bottom right corner you can usually see who the mod is for that forum.
