Tattoo's Anyone?

babuska is that a picture of your new tattoo in your avatar?

no but that's another one that i want to get :) the one i want now is of a butterfly ;)

I got my first tattoo in September & I love it! It did hurt but nothing I couldn't stand and definitely worth it. Mine is on my lower back, a Siamese cat chasing a butterfly with the Chinese symbol for joy--a reminder to me that the the joy is in the pursuit of life's goals. Stop and smell the roses, you know? I'll post a pic later.

My best friend and I got the tats at the same time, and we were both pleasantly surprised that it didn't hurt as much as we thought it would. Good Luck, & be sure to post a pic when you get it done!

Update

Last weekend we went back to the tattoo shop and talked to the owner who just happens to be friends with Darrin from Miami Ink(I thought that was so cool). Anyways, he said it my tat would cost about $225 and take 2 hours.

My new avatar is a Leo sign of another tat that I want to get, but that one will have to wait. Now, I just need the $ and I am good to go.

Be careful of where you put your tramp stamp..The lower back is the worst place to put one if you intend on having children and need a epidurol, they can't give you one if you have a tattoo there they say the ink can give you an infection because the needle will push the ink in deeper.. So think twice before getting your tramp stamp.

Tramp Stamp!!! I've never heard 'em called that before!
I love it!!LOL LOL LOL

HUH? first - not a tramp stamp, I hate that!! Second - I have one on my lower back. I had a baby. I had an epidural. no problems, no one said anything about any infection. Third - NOT A TRAMP STAMP!

Tramp stamp is a little offensive don't you think? Yea well I do. And I think you are rude.

google the term, it is a common saying

:secret:

Not true, I have a tattoo on my lower back, (right where the epidural goes in) and have had two children (with epidurals) Nobody ever warned me of such a thing. And obviously nothing went wrong either.

I agree with you Babs.......Funny but rude..... I suppose those in the military are tramp stamped too! (Tatoos are quite common in the military...especially among men.)

Hey Buddy, I dare you, go up to a Hell's Angel Biker and tell him you like his "Tramp Stamp"... R.I.P. :wilted_ro

"Tramp stamps" are located on the lower back...so let's hope a millitary man or a Hells Angel won't have a tat there. ;)

I know its a common phrase. I had mine B4 it became a common phrase. I don't like it.

"I want to get it on my lower back."

There is a woman in my Psych of Women class who has one there. She talked about how the guys @ work make a lot of sexist comments. At first looking at her, I couldn't figure it out. But one day she turned around & I saw a tatoo there.

My question is, does having a tatoo there cause some guys to make sexual comments?

everything causes some guys to make sexual comments! The only one I ever got specifically because of my tattoo, however, was from the tattoo artist tha did it. He said he'd do it free if I took off my pants - so it would be easier for him to do the tattoo...

I think that question has already been inadvertently answered in this thread....proving,yes

I've always been confused about this.......walking down the street some men make 'lude comments, remarks,comments'....where & what do they think this will get them??? Do they actually think after saying "hey cuchi mama" (or whatever obnoxious line) that a woman will say "I'd like to date you!"????? To me, it just shows that they're pigs.
