I am thinking about getting it.

I meant that it should be 5 + subwoofer = 6 in total. But anyhow, from your quote:
12 5/8" fo the rear speaker ????? They are HUGE

If you are planning to watch TV movies (not DVD movies) with the Sylvania Surround System, it is NOT possible. You have the Surround System effect only while watching DVD's.

Also please note that this system does not have many good reviews. Check for reviews in Amazon.

I only see one review for this at all on Amazon, and that person gave it a bad review because only the rear speakers are wireless. Do you have a link to other reviews?

If you look at the features for this on Buy.com it says:

Audio In (Exclusive 10p Terminal)

Audio Input / Output

Audio Input (5.1 Ch)

This means that you can watch your tv movies through it.

You cant use it just for the Tv , you can only use it for playing dvd's/cds etc.

Please be aware that ONLY the REAR Speakers are WIRELESS and this unit CANNOT be connected directly to a TV.

I got it, got excited, all setup and I was just lost. "So.. where does the input go"..

It turns out you can only use the DVD player they provide. I guess there is a good reason why these are being sold for a low price.

If you don't have a DVD player and plan to use the speakers for DVD/mp3 playing only, this is a good buy.. otherwise.. I'm not so sure. Once HD/DVDs become popular, these will not be useful.
