Havn't received mine yet either, or heard anything from them at all in weeks. I think they forgot about me!
 
I wrote ore-ida and told them about my horrible potato experience and they are sending me coupons...I have never had anything not cook right the way those did..you would figure after 30 minutes they would have been mush...

They were aweful..I cooked them as per the package,took them out and mashed them,tasted them and there were bits of raw potato still ..So I cooked in them in the bowl for 10 more minutes...still raw potato...so 10 more minutes,still raw potato pieces...I gave up...so 30 total minutes and they still were not done..they tasted vile and they were completely unedible.I don't know if I got a bad batch or what,but they sure did not cook in the 10 minutes it said it took..

Geez! That's awful. We tried them last night and they cooked just fine. We tried the three-cheese variety as my grocer was out of the plain. I wonder if the strength of the microwave has any bearing on the cook time?
 
what if you dont have a microwave oven? can you use it on the stove??

I don't know.I think on the back of the package it said the watts for the microwave and ours is what it said,believe it was 1200,but I did it and i thought the bag was going to explode if i did it any longer.there was another way to cook them out of the bag but can't remember if it was in the micro or on a stove top..hope everyone else has better luck
 
I got mine yesterday too. I currently use the ore-ida frozen mashed potatoes. They are delicious. The first time my mom made them for me, I didn't know they were instant, and I know potatoes. Hopefully these will be just as good.

Received this today - off to the store for weekly shopping tomorrow to get some for Sunday dinner - yummy!!!!! Reminder - try the sweet potatoes, that is the best!
 
Thanks Joyce!!! Nothing for me yet, but at least I can check periodically. I asked for a cookbook, so they may be sending things out based on what we asked for as a gift.
