Screwup Obama

See?....I knew it.........:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: :clap:

Obama didn't even come to see our "disaster"....
I doubt he even knows where it's at in our 57 states...

And the Gov. did ask for help...last week:rant:
Are you bleeping kidding me?! How many links do you need before you can understand you are wrong? FEMA went into action January 29th.

The numbers of the people who lost power going down is because of the fine employees of neighboring utility companys coming to the rescue...
NOT anything that Oduma has done...(which IS nothing, by the way)
What... did you expect Obama to come to Kentucky, grab some gloves and start getting the wires back up himself?

Silly Daredevil.....tsk, tsk....he couldn't leave and survey for himself, the Super bowl was on........oops! That's right, a large portion of Kentucky missed that too.....

:yikes:What was I thinking?????

(I guess I'll leave it at that....)

I'll probably get myself in trouble for this statement.................

My guess is that. proportionally, there are far fewer people in Kentucky than in New Orleans, who subsist solely on a 'gov'ment' check, and expect the 'gov'ment' to take care of them from cradle to grave.

Therefore, no one in Kentucky is whining to the media because FEMA isn't wiping their noses for them.

If this offends, deal with it.

*Ahem* Precisely......at least GWB walked through ruins of N'awlins. Obama thinks he's above that and does not want to mess up his brand new $500 white shirt.

Why would you get "in trouble" for stating a fact?????:clap::clap:

The government is not there to bail people out...period. If a natural disaster strikes, be sure you are prepared for it. We've got 72-hour kits as well as several months worth of food. We expect to be helping others instead of requesting a handout.

:hmmmm: I'm still trying to digest this.....

Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. dropped charges against the alleged mastermind of the bomb attack on the USS Cole while the Obama administration considers how to handle terrorist suspects detained at Guantanamo, the Defense Department said.

Charges against Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri were dropped without prejudice, which would allow the government to reinstate them later, Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said late yesterday.

The government was facing a deadline of Feb. 9, when al- Nashiri’s arraignment was scheduled to take place at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. The trial judge refused to suspend the arraignment, even though President Barack Obama last month ordered a 120-day suspension of all legal proceedings against Guantanamo detainees.

Obama will meet today with relatives of the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and the Cole bombing “to talk with these families about resolving the issues involved with closing Guantanamo Bay,” the White House said yesterday.

What is there to digest. Obama is closing the Guantanamo prison and probably has over a hundred lawyers reviewing each case of each inmate to determine how best to deal with them: what type of trial if a trial, imprisonment, moving to a different country, sending back to country of origin, etc...

I've heard some right-wing rumblings about allowing these people into the US prison system... as if we'd be putting these guys in a jail in Mayberry. Just as a FYI:

- that Richard Reid guy who tried to light up his shoe bomb on the plane went to a prison in the US.

- that entire NYC terror cell involved with the WTC bombing in 1993 went to prison in the US,

- those involved with the Oklahoma bombing (granted, they are white so it is okay for them to be in the US prison) went to a prison in the US,

- Zacarias Moussaoui… you know… that other guy from 9/11… he is in a US prison too

What is there to digest.
There's a lot to digest...... Where will he go now? Free to go?

Was 'our' case strong enough? Could it one day be 'strong enough'? Will he be found and detained again if there is a 'strong case' put together?

Others that have been released went right back to AL Queda.....will he do the same?

Why is the judge not going along with the 120 day continuance and sticking to the Feb 9 deadline?

I don't trust that we are receiving the total truth about all this.....:nonod: Not sure if we ever will....:nonod: It's just not sitting right with me....:nonod: It just doesn't seem right and I don't have blind faith in O's judgement......

ETA: Even with the Mafia, when they couldn't get them on the main charge, they were able to be prosecuted on other 'non-related' charges.....can't that be done until the 'main case' is 'strong enough' or until they drop dead on their own? It's just not making sense.

Seems to be you're fabricating things to rile people up......nothing like that has been mentioned here.....:noidea: Shame on you.....I don't care for your tactics.

He isn't going anywhere. They dropped the charges as a technicality to stop the trial, so the trial could be delayed, because the judge wouldn't delay it himself for whatever reason. They aren't just letting him go. Heck the trial for bin Laden's driver, even if he was found innocent, didn't actually mean he was going to be free to go.

The problem with Guantanamo is that Bush royally screwed up. Putting any of these guys on any real trial is near impossible due to human right violations, ie the whole torture thing. So Obama needs to figure out a way to make sure that people that are a threat aren't released, while still having some form of actual justice prevailing.

Maybe  my posts need to be like yours...

With all the smilies that just make the argument  so much more compelling. Despite your arguments typically never :nonod: having any actual substance :ack: or responding to the actual argument being made against you.

Seem more interested in red herring :fish2: and your poor preconceived notions  than much else. Your recent post on the Guantanamo Prison shows that. Had you been actually paying attention :typing:, you'd have known all about that case over a week ago. But you seem less interested in being informed and more interest in acting like you know what is true :cheer2:.
