Restaurant.com - 80% off Until 2/28/09

Most ones I wound've spend the money are already out.

I didn't want to say anything but since it's even printed on main page, I wanted to mention that... if you get $100 gift certificate for $8... isn't that 92% off, not 80% off? Or is it really 80% off.

A $100 certificate usually costs $40.00, take 80% off that and it is $8.00

These work most of the time for us too. One tip is to go to restaurant.com before you head out to make sure the restaurant is still participating. If they are no longer on the site, they usually will not honor the certificate. You can contact www.restaurant.com and they will give you a credit for another certificate.

There is one diner in our area that the certificates are for 50% off. We went last week and an $18 lunch was $9 (the 50% certificate cost was $1.20).

I have not had any problems with a restaurant not accepting coupons after they stop selling on the website. The few places I have visited have told me that they realize the coupons are good for 1 year after purchase and that it would be bad customer service if they would not accept them up until they are expired. I would call ahead to the restaurant and ask just incase there was any doubt though. :)

I have used these several times without a problem. I had one for $100 for a restaurant the stopped participating before I had the chance to use the certificate. Restaurant.com emailed me to let me know (they keep track of used and unused certificates) and I transferred the amount to another location. Went out for a family dinner, I think there were 10 of us and the bill was just over $300...$100 off was sweet and it was only $8
Don't know how anybody could complain about that but I guess some people are never happy?

I have a minimum purchase question. For example, it says $35.

Now, usually that means $35 -$25

But since I'm getting this sooo cheap, I'm smelling a catch. Is it actually minimum $50? Meaning, if my bill is at least $50, I'm taking off that $25 and paying them at least $35.

Make sense?

If the minimum purchase is $35, you take off $25 off the bill....that is before gratuities and taxes :)

I usually buy the Restaurant.com GIFT CERTIFICATES at 80% off and cash them in when the good restaurants have certificates which is usually at the beginning of each month.

Make sure to use the discount code "DINE" to apply the 80% off.
I usually buy 5 $25 Gift cards ($125 worth of gift cards) for $10 :teeth:

Also the Restaurant.com gift certificates do not expire and can be used anytime. The normal certificates for the participating restaurants expire after one year.
