Possible Free Stuff from P&G on Monday - Facebook

I just got( 7pm est) a "generic" email from P&G advising that if I "like" their FB page I can request a coupon book worth $110. (Sarcastic tone to follow...) Is this the same coupon book they made it sound like you needed to be sitting at your computer at exactly noon (est) time try to get? Aaaaack. If I knew I could request it any time down the line I certainly wouldn't have sat there fighting their computer server for so long. But, I guess they knew that.
 
OK they really did a good job in a way. Thousands of people vieing for their site to get a prize worth over 100 dollars. I mean it is funny in an irritating way.

P&G had posted on their FB wall that they weren't giving away a coupon, but they ended up giving away a coupon booklet. Hmmm, doesn't a coupon booklet contain coupons? So technically they were giving away coupons. I think they pulled the wool over our eyes!

Yep, I agree. I don't normally get annoyed about free stuff given that I'm usually just happy to get it. This one bugged me because I feel like they manipulated the situation and stretched the truth. I don't think any campaign is worth it if you leave customers with a negative feeling. P&G is such a huge company I wouldn't have thought it would be worth it to them. I might have been their on the FB page even if they said it was for coupons but they didn't say that. I think I'm hormonal today.

There's nothing hormonal about what you're writing about. P&G said they were going to have a B-I-G announcement. IDK, but a coupon booklet isn't in the realm of big announcements. I'm always grateful for freebies, too, and you're right about them stretching the truth. They sure attracted lots of people to their FB page, though they should never had said that they weren't giving away a coupon. I was disappointed.
 
Received the coupon book today--and yep, it was the same one I already had two copies of--from a mail-in rebate. Guess they had a lot of them left over and decided to get rid of them on FB. So, your coupons are on the way. The first section of the book has coupons that expire Feb. 28th, so not much time on those.
 
I got mine today. Really good sized coupon book. I would have liked a later expiration date on the first section, but will try to use up as many as I can before the end of the month.
