I received one of four bags I won recently. I sent the others to my nephews and sister, since I had already one. This game is addicting, but the candies are worth if. I love sour candy. I also had a laugh over the $1.49 postage.
 
Most people are capable of doing the misspelling math gypted = jipped. I dont think gypsies had anything to do with it.
 
u know dat slur can also refer to egtyptians too-if u wanted to really think about it -but all peaple going to have different opinions about dat slur .....it was just a simple mistake ......nothing to argue over ....we all mess up at times- dont we....

Look up the etymology of the word "gypped," "gipped," or "jipped" in any dictionary, and you'll see where that word comes from.

I agree--which is why I said in my original reply to WENEEDLIGHT that I know she didn't mean any offense by it, and probably didn't even recognize that it was an ethnic slur.

Let's move on....

I am struck by the fact that so much work is going into educating us about the word "gipped" being offensive to gypsies~if the overwhelming majority of us had no-ooo-oooo idea of the word's derivation or apparently hidden agenda, including the OP, then there was no intent and therefore no "crime".

Now we all seemingly know better and let's move on.........please?:wave:

Exactly my point. I know the OP didn't mean offense by it, and I said so. Lots of people use the word without thinking or knowing what it means. No one said anything about a "hidden agenda."

Note to those of you who keep saying "Let it go" - if you're posting two put in your two cents, you're keeping the discussion going. If you want to let it go, then let it go. :)
 
So I played the game, I won. I clicked on the link that says click here if you won and it took me back to the beginning page. However you want to spell it, it sucked!!
