PETA's New "Save The Whales" Billboard Takes Aim At Fat Women

:talktohand:your right...you win....its all just so easy....thats why there is such a huge overweight problem in this country....what are ppl thinking???:thefinger:

:drama:

:bored:

Whoever said it was easy?:ohwell:

Just a thought...

I wonder what Rags would have to say if she were still here on this topic? If anyone would have know the statistics it would have been her.

I also remember her saying that she was overweight. Anyone here think they would have a head left if she got a hold of you?!?! Her riffle would be loaded and aimed for sure!

(I must be having a nightmare -- I find myself agreeing substantially with gr8nrg. Please, someone wake me up.) ;)

What about agreeing with Preco too? Houston, we have a problem.

...do you really REALLY believe anyone WANTS to be overweight??
or a smoker?
or a drug addict?
or an alcoholic?

Whoever said it was easy?:ohwell:

I have been overweight (lose it or die). I have been a smoker (a mere 10 years) AND I have been a drug addict (if injecting methamphetamine regularly qualifies). I wouldn't say my binge drinking was being an alcoholic though.

I'M convinced that the reason I am no long these things is that I really REALLY WANTED to quit. Maybe you think it was something else or somebody else that did it?

BTW - None of it was because I "found religion". I not-so-simply stopped doing these things because I wanted to and I'm no more special than the next guy. Proof is that I had gotten myself in those situations - so maybe I'm a little worse than most.

there is very little you do in a day that is healthy....stop breathing, don't start your car, dont shop at a grocery store, don't use your microwave, or your cell phone....

people are different and GENES are different....some ppl are predisposed to be slim and others are not...I have never been skinny, hate me for it...don't care...

YUP!! If people sit around worrying about all the unhealthy things you may as well not even live.

People's bodies are made different. Some people are just big and can't lose weight. My grandmother had a thyroid problem. She worked hard her whole life and did not over eat but was still overweight.

As for me, I eat one meal a day and I am still not skinny. Go figure.

Wow. I haven't lurked in on Spoofee enough. I skimmed over this hot topic after telling myself I WAS NOT going to spend any time writing to Spoofee.

If I may - relax creddy, size 14 is big not fat. The lady on the billboard (btw I think PETA is koo-koo) is about an 18. She's fat.
As far as your husband goes, be glad he's skinny. When was the last time you saw an old fat person? Women tend to outlive men and since there are very very few octogenarians who are fat (my 60 yrs of observation is that fat people don't live to be old), you have a better chance of growing old together. I'm working on the weight differential between my wife and I myself and hope we go into our 90s together and she doesn't have to be by herself.
Lastly, it doesn't matter how many carrots you eat if you eat them along side ice cream.
You can knock off gluten and sugar to lose weight but it's not "fun". Personally, I'd rather have a long life and physical satisfaction then a a short fix of oral pleasure that amounts to taste-addiction.

I think the lady on the billboard is more of a 24 or something. I know people who wear 18 and look just fine. It also depends on how tall you are.
I am not short soooooooo 14 is not so bad on me. My husband thinks I am hot and that's all that matters.

I hardly even eat, so the sterotype that overweight people eat too much or they eat junk food is wrong. I eat fruits and veggies and meat.
