Does Rosetta Stone really work? My friend wants to learn Chinese. Any idea if it's Cantonese or Mandarin?

I am not sure what the Rosetta Stone has to do with Chinese?:convinced: She should start with Mandarin, and, work on the liguistic adaptations as she goes.

It's as good as any language acquisition system that doesn't involve personal interaction. I think it's better than cassette tape systems, because it can do some rudimentary switching based on your response. The key is the user: your friend must practice, practice, practice.

The Chinese version Rosetta Stone offers (and that most language systems offer) is Mandarin, which is the official speech for PRC and Taiwan. I don't know which writing system they use -- traditional (Taiwan) or simplified (PRC).

Yes, I lick my pink Yoplait lids - but I wash them before I send them in!!!!!!

You know what I found funny? At the Breast Cancer 3-day the only kind of yogurt they had was Yoplait and they didn't even have a place where you could give the lids. They could have collected so many. I don't get it.

I swear I tasted garlic.

I never reveal my sources.....:convinced:
or
I got connections......:claps:

Take your pick......:p

As for the garlic, maybe they change the receipe according to which area of the country there in.....

I'm going w/ option C: you made it up. :p
Oh...Oh , ummmm, allright, you caught me!
Yeah, I spent 2 1/2 hours writing this receipe up just to fool you!:ignore:
Foiled again..................:mmph:

Shouldn't you be bumping up some old forgotton threads or something?

2 1/2 hours to write, took me 2 1/2 seconds to find it on google LOL

Hey it is the thought that counts though. :claps:

Well, unless they had something to rinse the lids with I can understand why. Everybody licking....then throwing them into a big ol bag....you know you dont get all the yogurt with one lick usually so that bag would be one big bag of spit and yogurt covered lids! YUCK!
(the lids specifically say "clean")

Ok I'll be right back!!

She's the "Quicker-Bumper-Upper" :bigok:

Shhhhhh! Thats where I got it from...but dont tell them, OK?

Those Yoplait lids get me too..I can't stand washing them! They should come up with a different system. Like put a code on it that you could pop into a website and it would count them. I think if they're going to donate based on sales they should just keep track and let us know. I don't have the time or desire to wash all the lids we go through and I just end of feeling guilty. Maybe I'll just start buying a different brand of yougurt. Hmph!
