Microsoft CashBack Program - 8% Off eBay Buy It Now Items

heads up, I used it on EBay for a $120 item and only got 20% off. not sure why
 
still works, purchased 2 items already.

getoninja, I'm not sure why but I received 20% on one item (cost $23 though) and 30% on my second item which cost $210.

Im not sure, maybe $150 is the cap for the 30%, but thats just a guess, I have no way of verifying.

If you do that you find scammers with prices way higher than usual.

Also rebates won't come if you did an auction just to get a rebate check.
 
This was working for me a few days ago and then I waited a day before purchasing. When I tried the next day, I also only saw 20%. That made me put off purchasing longer, and now I'm unable to get eBay to show as a sponsored site and can't get the deal at all! Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Has the offer "expired", or was this scheme just caught on to perhaps?
 
I think I might know what the problem is that some of you are running into

My ebay account is not registered with my hotmail account, it's registered with my gmail account. I make sure i'm signed out of ebay when I click on the 30% link and I DO see the green 30% MS Cashback icon at the top. However, as soon as I log in to my Ebay (which i need to do to BIN) the 30%icon disappears. Does that mean i'm forced to open a new ebay / paypal account linked to my hotmail address?

First 3, then 6, now 12 transactions

I have made good use of this promotion. I have bought 6 items that I "needed" (HA HA HA) and that I have never seen on sale (camera equipment). Buying new on eBay with this promo was cheaper than buying used. Love it. I am glad to see they moved the number of items you can buy up to 12.

"You may receive Cashback Rewards for up to a maximum of twelve (12) Online Sessions per account on www.eBay.com. Once you have completed twelve (12) Online Sessions under any eBay.com account, you will no longer be eligible to receive Cashback Rewards for purchases made under such eBay.com account."
 
I purchased a $500 Home Depot gift card a couple of weeks ago when the 30% was being offered by live.com and am wondering if it'd be a problem to put that same giftcard, that i've now received, up for auction on ebay. The only reason I worry is because if an item is returned your cashback will be revoked but in essence i'm basically forwarding on the same item I just purchased. Does anyone see a problem with this or am I simply worrying to much?

Unsure about that....you raise a valid point though. Unless they screen these cashbacks carefully with what you sell on your eBay account, you will probably be fine. I don't see this being an easy task on eBay's side...
 
I don't think it would be a problem

Rules say item is returned doesn't it? You are returning, you are reselling it. Big difference. But read the rules.
 
last night I used it for the second time and got 30% off. this rocks!
 
Just went to live search and attempted to get a walmart gift card. Didn't see anything about cashback being offered for eBay....Has it been pulled? It doesn't show up under live searches stores either
 
Ehhh... In response to my uneducated post. The 30% cashback is still active with ebay...

I've had no problems with my $200 Itunes GC purchased through EBay. I was able to take advantag of the 30% cashback from MS Live. I might do another $200 Itunes card today...such a great deal !
 
update: it worked. i now have $25 in my microsoft live account, and just have to wait 60 days to transfer it to my bank acct. not bad!

i just bought a $200 itunes gift card for $99, and hopefully will be getting $25 back soon. the warning message at checkout kind of scared me though...

good stuff that happened:
- i saw the green "25% off" logo on the top of the page when i was looking at the gift card
- i got multiple notices that i would received 25% off upon checking out

bad thing that happened:
- a notice at the final checkout page, after i had already agreed to buy the item & was then liable to pay for it, said that i wasn't able to get 25% off since i needed to pay using paypal. meanwhile, paypal was selected as my payment source. i was pretty confused at this point.

i'll let you guys knows if i end up seeing the cash appear in my microsoft live account.

Looks like it's not working any more? Shame because I had 3-4 things lined up to buy.

So far I've gotten over $300 back that's been transferred to my Paypal and then my bank account. Works great for those who are patient!

Same thing happened to me last night but I didn't proceed to the next step,
and when i tried it again this morning no more cashback logo! Sad to say but
I think the promo is over.
 
25% cashback from Microsoft Live is back on !

I just purchased an Itunes GC and got my confirmation of 25% cashback, Woo Hoo ! ! !
Not sure how long it will be active, so take advantage while you can.
There are some great deals on $200 Itunes gift card codes... :claps:
