i took a 20 minute power nap. now it's back to baking and roasting and cleaning.... it's almost over...

Christmas morning bright and early, exchanging gifts with his family, then to my family's for lunch, then back to his family's for dinner.

Made two quiches... still need to wrap gifts!

We are going to the park tonight for dinner. There is an Ivar's down by the lake and they light up the whole park with Christmas lights. Tomorrow I am having my whole family over for dinner so I have cooking to do tonight and tomorrow, and I still have wrapping to do. I am still getting over a cold. :sick:
 
Hmmmm......I went to the store to buy basic stuff to eat. We've worked on cleaning up the living room a bit. The kids are anti-cleaners. So it has not gotten too far. No tree yet, no cookies, no roasting or baking, no wrapping. I'm thinking about putting the entire house in an oversize garbage bag and telling the garbage company that we have an oversize pick-up. I don't really like holidays much anymore.

I hope you feel better Squid. Monk I could use you over here tomorrow for breakfast. Bring your blueberries.

The blueberries are from Costco. I'll pick some up on the way.

Are the steam trains running on Christmas?
 
I don't know. But, I'll look for you in the A.M. Don't slip in the driveway. It's stupid icy right now.

Pecan pie sounds really good right now MrsK.

We are sitting around this evening watching Christmas show such as The Grinch that stole Christmas and The Polar Express. Later we are going to read the Christmas story from the bible. There is not much going on but we are spending the evening together as a family.

Honestly, the thought has crossed my mind. Getting him out of the tent was a BIG BIG task. I failed miserably. He enjoyed dinner though. I'm so happy. And did I mention all of the great sticky kisses I got from him? :bigok:
 
We're watching "It's a Wonderful Life" and drinking Eggnog!!!
 
We watched Mickey's Christmas Carol and a couple other Disney Christmas classics.(Pluto and the Christmas tree and the one about the donkey--the small one) Michael opened some gifts, and we read some Christmas stories together. It's been a really nice night!
