Girl Scout Cookies

Welcome back, DanC- where've you been?!?

Thanks, working out of town Mon - Thurs. for the last couple of weeks.
I'll be doing it for at least 3 more.

I dont eat these cookies. I give the solicitors nasty looks when they approach me and I never have to say 'no'.

Okay here comes the "Old Dinosaur Rags" who did indeed sell Girl Scout cookies FORTY TWO YEARS AGO when you got a double box for fifty cents!!!!  I am not much on cookies, but, I have loved the thin mint cookies every since I first sold them!

Was on CNN.com and this guy who owns a gas station bought a butt load worth of Girl Scout Cookies and resold them in his store for .50 more then he paid. Dirt ball! His defense was that he was keeping the girls off the dirty streets. Most Girl Scout don't sell cookies door to door, in fact the council frowns down up that. They now do cookie shops in places like Wal-mart.

I love the Peanut Butter Patties.

I uh.......:druel: .......had something........:druel: .....to say..........:druel: .......but now........:druel: ........after reading all the posts.......:druel: .........I cant.......:druel: ......remember..........:druel: ................
:druel:

Oh yeah - Keebler Grasshoppers - thanks Preco will try them out. I dont think there are any GS's around here.....I wonder if they have a website, like a cookie-seller-locator or something........

my faves are the thin mints and samoas(and i have never been or i will never be in the girl scouts so dont ask me,but my naibor is and my cusin)

I don't think the dirtball was all that bad......He probably paid the going rate to the girls scouts when he bought the butt load of cookies and they got their money. Plus, probably most of the people who bought them as 'cash & carry' would have been the same people who would've ordered and waited for the boxes to be delivered, thus now buying even more cookies! (They're all delivered together so the other's would've ordered their cookies by then anyway.)

:wof: That dirtball actually greatly increased the sales of GS cookies for the GS cause! (For a profit of course ;) ) Now, does he get a patch too?:wof:

Sw33tCookie is a Girl Scout too bad their troops sold their cookies already :(

Do you not like them Squid, or do you not eat cookies? Just curious

do girl scouts go around the neighborhood selling cookies anymore or is the world so changed now that its too unsafe?

in todays world, have girl scouts started to sell cookies on ebay?

LOL right?
We are headed to the big city next week - maybe they will have some outside of Walmart, because I am seriously starting to crave them.

I saw a few people selling them out of their vans yesterday....not a single girl scout....sad really!

I was told that out of that 3.50 a box, the Girl Scouts only see 50 cents. Don't know how true that is though. All those parents putting in long hours to sell them too.
