Gas Saving Tips? What Do You Spoofers Think?

I just bought a used one that was OEM from the factory...a 1997 Ford F250. Paid about $3,000 for it by the time we had it shipped from across the country. Utah also has an up to $3,000 tax rebate. My total cost will be around $700 or so.

:jaw: Details..I demand details! Where can we buy one? Where do you get natural gas to fill it up? Why isn't everyone doing this????

The tax rebate is only available to Utah residents and only applies to vehicles that have NOT been registered in Utah before.

You can purchase a CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicle on eBay by going to the eBay Motors section of the Web site and searching CNG. Or you can check local listings such as the classifieds on KSL.com (which is where I list my CNG vehicles for sale).

A list of CNG fueling stations in Utah (and surrounding states) is listed here.

If you live out of state, I can tell you where you can fuel up there. The cost outside of Utah for natural gas is around $1.25 per gallon and above.

Another big bonus is that if you have a CNG vehicle in Utah, you can take the HOV lane on I15 without anyone else in the car! That means for a much quicker commute!

Another way to save gas is to use the A/C less. If the outside temp is comfortable and doesn't smell bad (like in New Jersey  - now I'm in trouble) roll down the window(s).
And the answer to the "woman question" would be - "it doesn't matter with the heater".

Actually it depends on the car, whether you get better mileage with the AC or the windows rolled down, due to the change in aerodynamics with the windows open. Of course, at 30MPH or less, the windows probably don't matter.

I'm a city driver when I drive. I don't even own a car any more. The other thing you could do at high speed is open the fresh air vents instead of the windows - fresh air and no disturbance of the force and no AC.
