yes it can be charged via the USB connector
 
got mines now does n e one know how to load all the maps on the 1 gig card or even better know how to hack this baby:bigok:
 
Well, I thought I ordered one. It said "in stock" when I ordered, and even for some time after I ordered, but it's now listed as "Back ordered" in my order status page. I wasn't even e-mailed about it. Now I don't know what to buy.
 
i put my order in when the site said in stock. and now it just said it got cancalled :(

I e-mailed them to ask about my "back order" and they said they expect a shipment by March 28th. We'll see. I'm not sure if I'll hold on to my back order that long or just buy this GPS (or another one) at Amazon.com. It's currently $242 or so at Amazon w/ free saver shipping, so not bad.

it's very easy...just stick the dvd in the dvd-rom drive and it instructs you what to do from there. once it tells you to connect the USB (the key is to wait for them to tell you it's ok to connect the usb), then you can select all the states you want and it will show you how much memory it will take to load everything you click on (select) then it just takes time (about an hour for all the US and Canada) to load onto your GPS. Simple. Good luck!
 
i went back and loged into my account, instead of processing, it came out to be cancelled. i called a couple of stores to see if the deal was going on there too, turns out that it's selling for $229 and and DO NOT price match their own website. kind of rediculous because Best Buy just had a big lawsuit against them for some people not pricematching their own prices on the web.
 
Well, apparently mine has shipped! Hopefully it's not an open box return or some garbage like that...

OK, before I do anything stupid. For those who bought it, can I get an updated map online or will the dvd it came with be ok to put on my 1gb sd card? Just lookinbg for the easiest and free way to update everything and for it to work properly!
