Free Windbreaker Jacket from the Marines

thanks for the post.. i signned my husband up ... i hope they don't try to come get him....lol

I'm prior service Army (four years) so signed up under that category. My daughter's making me look bad by signing up for the Marines for eight years. It'll be cool to have a jacket to show my support.

It said I was over the age limit....hope the jacket comes. My grandpa was a marine and he would love that.

Thanks for the post.

I'll pass on this one because they show up at the door around here.

Thanks for the post - both of our sons served and I also passed this on to veteren friends of ours!

My jacket arrived in the mail this weekend via United States Postal. It also had a rejection letter. I am too OLD! I am just 30. What are these people thinking. At least I have a great jacket to show my support of the military.

Got it!!

Got my Marine windbreaker yesterday -- Very nice jacket!!

I will where it proudly in honor of these brave guys!!:claps:

:claps: I got my jacket i could not believe how fast it came its very nice thanks:)

Marine showed up at door, Twice!

Heads up, on ordering this coat , a Marine showed up at my door 2 days in a row. He left a door hanger thing w/ his recruiting card on it.
I'm never signing up for any of that stuff again. He actually drove 25 miles twice.

Of course a marine showed up. It says right on the form that info provided is used for recruiting purposes.

Did anyone else have a fella show up? My husband would KILL ME!

Also, FYI, the jackets look small to me. Order a size up.

They don't let you choose the size, I got small too.

And To the person who replied "Of course a marine showed up. It says right on the form that info provided is used for recruiting purposes."

Where were YOU when the others in this thread asked if someone showed up at your DOOR?

Thanks for yet another super post, Joyce  My stepson Matt (who turns 19 today!) is considering enlistment and my hair is getting as grey as this typeface! :proud: Strange how you can be both proud AND worried :worry:....... Thanks again!

I shoukd have checked your replies before signing up for this one (pun intended). Now I'm a bit confused - I just signed up under the "Info for parents and educators" button and there were options (primarily for parents) to choose from:

An informative DVD featuring other parents of Marines
A Proud Parent bumper sticker
A Proud Parent magnet or
A Parent's Guide Book

I chose the DVD. I never had to enter my age. After submitting all my contact info and choices, another page popped up that offered size requests for the jacket and then a confirmation page.

Do you think a recruiter will show up at my door? :theyareon: My nosy, gossipy spinster of a neighboor will probably faint if they do!

I had a recruiter show up and ask for my boyfriend. When he looked at him he said dont worry about it because with your height and weight you wouldnt make it. My boyfriend said next time I do that hes going to invite the man in and have him talk to me. HAHA
