Free Skype PC-to-Phone calls until the end of the year...

skype has been on stealth mode since late 03. but it's been catching fire. it's very popular in europe and asia. there would come a time where american telcos will bow to this P2P technology.

P2P much better than voips out there. it shall last, regulations or not.

skype has been awesome all along.

+1 (area code) 7 digit #

e.g.

+1 415 222 1355

Alright I am on Verizon and its not working then same computer I use my dial up and it works

i still cannot get it to work. i entered +1 areacode number and all i get is the message about needing to buy credits

Great Post! It works fine for me. I get the same message at the bottom of the window, but I can still dial out and talk. I may just cancel my long distance plan if this keeps working as good as it is now!

Ok I can't get it to connect either. Yes, I do use Verizon DSL. Is that the problem? and if so, @#$(%!! Verizon.

Eh, I submitted a support ticket anyways about the problem.

Voip Stunt works excellent

When I was reading this post someone mention free calls to 20 countries by Voip stunt, so I google it, I installed the software and they gave me free one min calls to PERU to try it first. Then I bought a 10 euros card that will last for 4 months and as long as I talk to PERU less than 300 min per week (42 min per day) the credit doesn't ran out. I think to have a daily 42 min talk to PERU for the next 4 months is worth every single penny of this deal. Check it out by yourself. Thanks spoofee for all this deals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bigok:

Ok cool, it works now. So Verizon is probably not at fault here folks.

i tried downloading the new skype 2.5.0.72 beta version, and it worked fine - i was able to dial to landline without any credit requirements.

yes it's working for me too now. One big question i forgot: where do these calls count as originating from? for instance, will the phone being called be charged long distance or international rates?

yes, i saw that number. i was wondering what that meant in terms of what the person being called will be charged for the call.

no it's just a default # to identify your call to the receiving party.

no one's gonna be charge, esp the receiving party.
