Free Saab if You have Saab with 1 Million Miles

For a 30-year-old car to have 1,000,000 miles it would have to be driven at a rate of 33,333 miles per year. That's not impossible, but it's certainly high mileage. The onwer would have to be really nitpicky about care car and maintenance.

1989 was only 18 years ago last time I checked... how about over 55K miles per year. A lot, but a traveling salesman.

All I can say is if you are driving a vehicle that has more than 150,000 miles on it, it could only mean:

1) You are very nostalgic when it comes to cars.
2) You don't have enough money to get a new car.
3) You're ok with the degradation of fuel efficiency and aging parts.
4) Your car is a classic and is worth more than the newer models.
5) It never occurred to you that technology has advanced, and newer cars are safer and more comfortable.
6) You have no problem absorbing hate from other drivers as your car breaks down in the middle of the highway during rush hour.

For all the folks driving beatup clunkers, please do the public a favor and retire the old piece of crap. Cars are getting cheaper now....... why go through life driving miserably????

As stated by what I assume is a true car non-enthusiast, if those are the ONLY things it could mean. What do you drive, a Chevy Malibu? No offense to anyone who does, just making a point about your list. As far as cheaper, you get what you pay for. And I'd much rather drive my '85 BMW than just about any rental car (they're all less than a year old) short of an occasional cruise in a $50,000 Caddy.

Just sayin.
