psychobutterfly, you scream through your comments, at two of us (with poor english), for bring up discussion that's way beyond a simple toilet roll holder, and you're calling me the ass..? I'm sorry for your struggles, but that's not a pass for your reactions. You have no right to try pushing people down to feel like you're on top. You only end up sounding beneath us all.

awwwww now I have gone and ruined your day...please forgive me...maybe some day I will reach your level...you rock...I want to be you one day !! Hugs and kisses!!

lol.. not at all! My day's pretty bright. And what you said never fazed me, it only drove me to respond. Have a good one!

I tried to get the TP holder yesterday & it said it wasn't available. :(

my gram used to have these but she made em herself knitting lol

That's funny, mine did too, she knitted me one that had a doll inisde it & her skirt covered the tp roll. This was back in the late 70's though:yesnod:

I'm sure that most of the people here don't want things because it's free. They must have a purpose for what they want to get for free...

EXACTLY! This is why I have ordered one...and we're going to use it as a drum to go with our free xylophone we got at Pier1! :pound:

Don't feel badly about the way psychobutterfly responded to your posts. She jumped down my throat when I wrote a short statement about a person winning two of a prize for their household (by entering a husband in addition to themselves) when the rules of the giveaway stated "one prize per household." There were only 500 prizes for the USA. Of course, I had nothing against anyone winning prizes, but was expressing my opinion that it isn't fair for a household to win more than what the rules specify.

Psychobutterfly wrote two long posts and was trying to defend people who win multiples. She wrote: "what a load of crap for your first post...now my wings are all in a bunch..." and "I am freakin b!tchy today...I'm actually glad the newbie came on here acting like a dork so I would have a victim for my b!tchiness...welcome to the board...I am done now..." I took her comments with a grain of salt, because she's responded rudely to another poster previous to me (so perhaps she lacks a filter for her thoughts that she expresses in writing), and I realized it's easy for people to say rude things from behind a computer screen. Also, I was told to "go away" by another member of this site; was that really necessary? I guess some people can't handle a comment about the rules of a giveaway which make entering fair for everyone.

Every person is entitled to have different opinions. But we don't have to resort to name-calling or writing rude comments in response to an opinion that is different from our own. There are ways to respond to a comment that you don't agree with that doesn't come off as being disrespectful or intimidating or extremely defensive. I won't stoop so low as to resort to name-calling or telling someone to go away.

PS: The Cottonelle toilet paper roll holder is plastic.

Thank you Yvettedem:kissing: I love ya g/f :loving:...I seriously do love this place and the people here ....I guess thats why I get so defensive with people who come in and try to shame us for doing what we do ....I would like to say though that I do not think I have ever said someone should leave...this is not my site to assume to say such a thing but I will tell ppl to kiss my arse for finding ways, with the help of Spoofee, to survive and stand on my own...I don't mince words and if I seem as if I am hiding behind a keyboard please PM me and we will talk it out there...I know I am sick of this game and I am sure most of the regulars are as well...seriously....peace out!~!

I would like to say though that I do not think I have ever said someone should leave...this is not my site to assume to say such a thing !

psychobutterfly, I never wrote that you were the person who told me to leave. What I wrote was: "Also, I was told to "go away" by another member of this site;" My whole post wasn't directed at you. You made some comments to my post last night that were a bit odd. I came to this thread to learn about the Cottonelle freebie, and as I'm reading the posts, I happened to remember you and your past comments. Nobody is following you around, well, at least not me. I never stated whether I like you or not, so why were you saying that I think I don't like you? That's really odd, amongst the other things you wrote.

Yeah, I'm sick of this, too, with people not being able to express an opinion of something in a civil way without getting jumped on and ganged up on by some people on this site who disagree with that opinion. If someone says something that is against the rules on this site, then that person should be dealt with by a moderator. If that's not the case, I don't see anything wrong with people having different ideas and opinions.

Seems to me some people want to whine about folks around here getting free stuff aka writing a negative post about us, but yet you get all huffy when we strike back. We are here to have fun, please dont spoil it for everyone,if ya want the offer, go for it,if not just move on and be happy for those who choose to partake in it OK

:questionmark: Was I the one who told ya to leave cause that sounds like something I would do if ya pissed me off

HAPPY HUNTING EVERYONE AND LETS JUST HAVE FUN :cheers2:

lol no it was Gardenia....in her defense it was this that started it:

this was her reply:

If you joined this board to do nothing but complain, go away. Life isn't fair! The rest of us are happy for the people that win, even if we don't win and they win multiples.

I get TONS of stuff that I don't want, need or use...but what I do have is the knowledge to distribute this stuff to ppl who truely do want or need...not just friends and family but nursing homes and a shut in...please stop ASSuming to understand everyones motives or actions just because we are here and we are as entitled as anyone else to get things cause we know how to hit the refresh button 72 times...

You obviously haven't spent a whole lot of time here...we all have stories as to why we do what we do here and like any group there are disagreements and squabbles but as a whole we try to encourage and help each other out...Personally I am thrilled when I hear that someone on here gets a great prize or even a small givaway that I missed out on...I know there will be more down the road and I will be right here trying to find it...

And yes I get defensive when ppl seem rude because a bunch of us are busting out rear ends to get things that may make our lives (or someone elses) a little nicer, had this conversation with someone the other day and although its not your business how my life ended up messed up so bad....less than 3 years ago I really wasn't sure where my next meal was coming from or my next tube of mascara...now my shelves are full and I have at least 5 mascaras that are not even opened yet...and I have plenty to share when someone else is in need or have a darn good idea how to find it and it's one of the greatest feelings in the world to help someone else out because I have been down and out in the worst way...

I have so much more to say but I think your self important mindset is already made up so I am done with this thread...:peace:

Well Said my friend. Nobody knows our individual circumstances. And I too am trying to survive. Those of you that know me know what I'm going through. So if i do get things I eventually find I can't use i do donate them to my church, the local battered woman's shelter, and even the nursing homes. Nothing I get goes to "WASTE". If these companies want to give out things I'm more then happy to take it off their hands for free! What i do with it in the end is nobody and i do mean NOBODY else's business!
As the old adage goes "If you have nothing nice to say...say NOTHING". The majority of us help each other to get all the freebies we can. I also help my daughter and husband who are struggling, my mother in NY (I'm in Florida) and friends and neighbors to get freebies as well. It's nice to help others and believe me the battered woman's shelter in our County and the nursing homes and my church which has tons of people that can't make it w/ out assistance are more then grateful when I show up w/ a few bags of goodies. I go through my stash about 1x per month to make my donations. Granted it didn't cost me money but it did cost me my time and gas. But you know what? giving things back to our community and being able to help anyone we can makes it all worth it.
And yes I've traded w/ members of this community to get things I missed out on and needed and have given things I've received to others "Just because" they missed it or whatever. It's a great feeling...too bad there are some on this community that truly want to ruin a great thing! (And I don't mean any of our regulars b/c we all know we're here to help each other out!:) )

I have asked Spaz to lock this thread. Keep it light and happy :) Thanks.
