Every Barnes & Noble cafe is owned/operated by Barnes & Noble and serves Starbucks products. It is a licensing deal. All the food and beverage items that we deal with (Starbucks coffee, Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes, Jones bottled soda) are all licensing deals.

I work in a B&N, and I know that our sign says "Barnes & Noble cafe serving Starbucks", but it never ceases to amaze me how many people don't bother to read when they're in a bookstore.
(though nothing beats when they try to pay for books with a Borders gift card.)

*sigh*
