I wish I had a Sonic near me. I could go for a black cow right about now.
 
I signed up on Sonic's email list after first hearing about this because I wanted some kind of confirmation. This morning I received an email that said they are giving away free rootbeer floats from 8 pm - midnight on June 7.

I believe the closest Sonic is in Cincinnati, which sucks.
 
I went to my local sonic tonight, got the free floats for my kids and husband. Great for the pocketbook. They was busy there tonight, but was moving them right out the door.
 
My wife and I got a couple tonight also. Our's was packed! They had people setting in line just to get a parking place and the front area w/ the tables was packed.

It was easy at the one near me. They were just handing them out as cars were driving in.
 
I got one for me and one for my son last nite. That's the busiest I have ever seen Sonic. Cars lined up waiting for a parking space and all the picnic tables full. The carhops were walking around with trays of floats to give out.
 
I was going to stop and get one but the line to the sonic I drove by was so packed there was no way I was going to wait for a rootbeer float. It was crazy busy.
