It's illegal.

EVERYONE gets a free starbucks today, voter or not. It's illegal to reward people for voting. So anyone that walks into starbucks today, just ask for the coffee and you get it.

Starbucks got into a lot of legal issues over this offer.

GO GET YOUR FREE COFFEE KIDS!

Although the election didn't go my way, and I knew NJ was a lost cause, I did vote--and then I headed to Starbucks. They were aware of the promo, and since I had no "I voted" sticker (which as others have said, wasn't necessary), I just told them that I had just voted and would like my free cup of coffee. They couldn't have been nicer. The only other election day-related thing I've heard of is this: if you bring a lawn sign to Chick Fil A on the 5th, you will receive a free sandwich. This is very YMMV at "participating locations."

The Starbucks I went to said they stopped serving the free coffee at 6:00PM. I showed up at 6:14PM. Bastards.

I enjoyed my tall decaf at 7:15pm last night (after girl scouts) I went thru the drive through and they didn't ask to see my sticker - but I did have it on if they had!
