I followed your instructions, and it worked like a charm. Can't say I'm as high up the scale as you, but I'm pleased with my position. :)

To echo earlier comments, this seems legit. Fair Isaac is the company that developed FICO scores (FICO = Fair Isaac COrporation) for evaluating lending risk. I'm not particularly fond of the quasi-monopoly they have on credit scores, but their numbers are used throughout the industry.

I also highly recommend that everyone get their free credit reports from www.AnnualCreditreport.com . You can get one report from each of the three major credit-reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) each 12 month period. FICO scores are based on the information contained in your credit reports, so it's a good idea to make sure that all of the information is correct. In addition, it's a simple way to protect yourself from identity theft; the reports should list any and all credit accounts opened in your name, so you can monitor for unauthorized activity.
 
If you don't trust giving out your information it only costs around 3$ to get your credit score

myfico is a shared service by the 3 major credit bureaus (transunion, equifax and experian)....no need to worry about safety of your info.
