Not to argue an OBVIOUS point, but no job is secure anymore, with changing state laws and companies being as dishonest as possible to maximize their operating charges, I am not surprised when ANY big company starts handing out pink slips, even the military is not a for sure job these days, you can sign up for four years, but your not guaranteed that you won't get hurt and get discharged or get discharged after that 4 years, the only sure fire secure job is owning your own corporation, and sadly, in the end, even THAT is not secure, these are fly by the seat of your pants days, sad but true
 
I've never received one other from MS and other co's. Chances are you're just giving up your address/privacy for nothing in return.

If you submitted them all with the same vendor near the same timeframe, that may explain it.

I never really received a free USB from some previous similar offers. But won't hurt to try it once again.
 
I'm still waiting for the MS/Novell one. Maybe IBM will be different

Same here. I had the message waiting when I got into work this morning and we've got a big IBM shop.
 
I got that too. I always get these kinds of emails from companies that promise to send out stuff, makes me wonder if they are sending out any at all :-/
