I am confused... Can someone politely explain to me why this is bogus? Is everyone saying that the Federal Trade Commission is bogus?

What is bogus is the fact about cell phones going "PUBLIC". The statement you posted makes it sound like there is some sort of urgency to register your cell phones because we are all gonna get bombarded with sales calls on them, which is not true. As explained in the statement posted at the website below, which is what BrotherRon is referring too :)

LOL, that's been around for awhile. I can't believe it's still in circulation. It was a fake.....

It's listed on Urban legends etc..

It's fake. It was an email started by some goofball that had nothing better to do. It's been around for over a year.

I always check out snopes.com or urbanlegends.com for fake emails, warnings etc..

If it hasn't been on the news or newspaper then it's most likely a fake rumor.
