Discuss Past Months Allure Give-Aways Here

I finally got it submitted at 3:15. Maybe we'll all get this for our persistence in refreshing that page until it came up. :)
 
I also got in at 3:15. But, really, are they nuts?? Maintenance in August?? What could they be thinking? Friday can't come soon enough for me.
 
Does anyone know about how long it takes to get stuff from Allure if you win something? And do they eventually show a list of winners so you can know what to expect in the mail? This is the first month I've tried anything from Allure.
 
Typical months take anywhere from 1 month to 9 months. August entries may take a year.
 
Since the 3:00 was a mess, I'm glad I missed it. I guess I picked a good time to go fill up on ice cream! LOL
 
the 4:00 one worked fine for me, looks like the kinks got worked out.
 
yeah the 12 pc 3 et was just a waste, i entered and got an error so i let for lunch. dont want to deal with it especially for $4 item
 
I CANT WAIT till this is over its a pain in the YOU KNOW WHAT!!! thank god its only once a year i would go crazy
 
Actually, I only entered for the 12pm one today. I meant to do the 1pm one but woke up like 2 min after 1pm (slept thru my phone alarm), then intentionally skipped the little lipstick one @ 2, and somehow missed the last 3 (3, 4, & 5pm). :( I wanted to do those... Between the constant rain/thunderstorms from the hurricanes around here (remnants of Fay, I think), and my F'd up thyroid, I've been super sleepy & I keep missing these. I think I'm also getting burnt out on them. I was much better at entering these in the beginning than I am now. At least for the 12pm one ($77 smoothing cream by Decléor) - FIRST 500 (always nice), I was able to get in at (firefox time stamps on confirmation page):

12:00:04 PM for myself,
12:00:07 PM for my SIL,
and
12:00:12 PM for Jetwoman.

12:00:04's not too shabby, eh?

ahhh...it feels so nice to turn to the last page of prize printouts for the month. Can't wait to see what everyone gets! So exciting! :)
 
So far so good today. I've gotten in both of them without any errors. I really hope we all see a lot of these prizes in our mailboxes.

Same here. I start my first one (for myself) at #:59:59 and proceed w/the rest of em. Why? Do you get time stamps sooner or later than that? It seems to vary with each offer but since they did their updates the other day, they are going thru quicker. On occasion, for the more popular/expensive/lower quantity ones, sometimes they'd not show up (conf. page) until 10-15 sec. after.

Yeah, me either! I hope they don't take too long to ship out this year. :teeth: Can't wait to see a winners list (haha, wishful thinking, right?)

yeah mine take longer sometimes and some go in faster now after that whole update thing. i would say #:00:11 and even later than that too. i hope thats not too late. i wrote somewhere that you can send for the winners list in sept. i'll be definitely doing that, The best result is to email them for the winners list and harrass them and they'll send it otherwise we'll be waiting for a long time for that list :28:

Yes, this reminds me of the 70's when they would put the "Last Car" sign on the line of cars waiting for gas during the shortages. You were so happy to be included in the line, but much happier after you got your car filled up. Anyway, just my experiences from last year: you can send in all you want for the winners' list, but no one ever received it. I think this year, we should actually contact the AG office if they don't send it. (I did eventually get it by pdf thru an e-mail and that was how everyone found out about all the prizes they did not receive--eventually resolved). I did enter almost all, but only won about 10 prizes, so even if you're doing it religiously, who knows how their computers are logging in the entries--in effect it's still rather random. Yes, I hope we all get some prizes, but just don't count your chickens yet. This is Allure, after all. Good Luck to all, and at 5 PM EDT, please everyone: raise your mouse in unison and shout "Thank goodness it's Friday and it's OVER!" I'll be listening....

I noticed that yesterday... I was wondering if it might be a misprint, since it's listed at the top of the list and they go in order. Besides, if it's not a misprint and they have 2 offers at 4:00, than would you just enter once for both or do you have to enter twice? And if you have to enter twice and just do it once how would they know which one you're submitting for?
 
In the mag. the dress is at 12:00 and the necklace @ 4:00 PM. HTH
