GO ON....REPORT ME!! :pound: It's not like Allure will answer your emails or phone calls. Sorry. Couldn't resist. I'm in one of those moods tonight. I pay for the speed on my computer. I sacrifice a mascara every entry. What do you want from me??? By the way, for those who don't know, there is a trade it up group on Spoofee for those who are really interested in these products.
oh, and I don't read allure, Elle, or any other magazine except maybe a little Martha Stewart every once in awhile. I enter for other people. The prizes are shipped to different addresses. They don't have the internet access I have, so why not. Don't see how I have an "advantage" over anyone else really. I mean, I have 4 entry screens pulled up on my computer, and the submit buttons are being hit within 5 seconds of each other. In all reality, I'm probably slowing things down for myself. :noidea:
And if it makes any difference, I gave a huge bag stuffed with new Allure goodies to my church 2 weeks ago. They used the items for an event where the children of disadvantaged families were able to come in and select Christmas gifts to wrap for their parents. That was a nice feeling. Thanks Allure.

of course i'm doing it for my mom and my cousin and stuff i always share my stuff with them so is that against the law now? I dont keep everything to myself you know because if i do THAT would be selfish.

We all spend alot of time entering.And if we win,I myself plus many others I read on here,share.I think there are a bunch of nice people on this site.How about all the time we spend on here and never win.I'm still happy when fellow spoofee's win.Let's all stick together.:)

The packaging and postage costs for giveaways and product tests always floors me. I have won $5 lipsticks that were packaged in 12 inch boxes that cost $7.95 ship... then there was the full sized mouthwash product test where they crammed the large oddly shaped bottle into a recycled paper mailer and taped it to hell and back, when it arrived it looked like a rabid dog chewed on it before it was dropped from a helicopter onto my doorstep. I think my favorite was the box from Amazon, it wasn't for a giveaway or a product test but the item was free promo offer and I have a free trial of Prime so they paid for the item and the shipping costs. Why in the world would they send a teddy bear in a 36 inch box with about 25 feet of brown paper inside?!?

Very nice comments! I have been doing Allure for about 2 1/2 years, and it's only been the last few months that I've had any really great wins. I don't feel the least bit guilty. I do enter my husband and then my friend. She gets to keep any products she wants, so it's a nice thing for her. I hardly ever get two or three of anything, but it has happened with this last August's giveaways for the first time. I think my husband has received about six or seven prizes (I've gotten 43--most of them were not very expensive ones). I only wish I knew how to put up three or four screens at once. I still don't know how to do that. Oh, and I also enter a fellow Spoofee person because she can't usually enter at the times they have it. As well, I will try to help anyone who needs to be entered for a specific time. OK--end of rant.
 
I think it's great when other forum posters win!! Personally though, I feel bad for even thinking about filling out multiple entries.. I can understand maybe for my mom ,etc.. but I get this huge guilt complex. lol I always feel like I don't need more than one prize, and I like to give others a chance to get something as well. I'm a geek I know.

I agree with you. I feel guilty for trying to get freebies I don't want or need. I never enter for things I don't want, and I don't enter more than twice (one for me and mom). It would just make me feel greedy and disgusting for trying to get more than I need. I don't have anything against people who enter multiple times, because I'm sure they have a reason, but for me, I have no need for extra stuff. I already have enough junk, I just want things I can't afford! :lol:

I enter for myself, my mother, my sister and one of my nieces. I don't feel badly about it or have any guilt. I would feel guilty if I was keeping everything for myself, but I give away more than I keep for myself.

oh i know you didnt mean it to offend me or anything like that and of course i'm happy when other spoofers win as well! here a :hug: for you :yesnod: dont worry just keep ur hopes up and i'm sure something will turn up because for me i will go days or weeks! without getting anything :sad: but it happens to all of us...

Well, no wins today, so holding at #43! But, I'd be surprised if I got that beauty tester box thing and I don't usually get any PT, so it all balances out. And Kuxo got my eyeshadow!

(I didn't enter them all, either--only 101 out of 121).

I sent another e-mail to Allure about my two missing June prizes the other day, and this time, they did respond and say that they were looking into it. But, in the meanwhile, I received one of the missing prizes on Thursday--the Jergens Natural Glow Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer from June 29, 12 noon, 1st 150. So now, for me, it's just the Avon Anew Clinical Eye Lift which is MIA. I think some others were missing the Jergens, so I hope Allure finally sent them the winners list and all who are supposed to get that will finally receive that prize.
