Got the bad news last night, order CANCELLED! I suspect many others did as well.
 
i just got an email from buy.com saying sorry.. we messed up.. we don't have the item.

so im not getting it.. they did give me a coupon for $5 off any kingston product that is IN stock.

oh well :(

So I placed my order before they sold out and got a confirmation. And then today I get this e-mail from buy.com. Not cool. Did anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I got the same crappy email. This is like the third time since I've been coming here that they have pulled a stunt like this. Down with Buy.com!!

No business for you...3 years!! LOL
 
Everyone who has done deals long enough to know their butt from a hole in the ground knew this was probably going to turn out being a price mistake and the order would be cancelled. Until one's card is charged, ethically and legally they have the right to refuse a sale. This isn't like when HP charged $100 less for their LCD monitors and were then calling people up 2 months after the purchases demanding the extra money and threatening to charge their cards, nor is it like instances wherein people's cards have been charged and then the orders cancelled.

You win some, you lose some, one moves onto the next deal. I got a $5 coupon out of the deal and buy.com is quite stingy with their coupons so I am quite content to use it and be happy.

i have not had any good experience with buy.com; always having trouble with them except once.

They lowered the price again to After Rebate $10.05, guess no one was buying them for over 1.04 :D

I have not seen an email saying my order was canceled so I guessing they just didn't bother with me all together. Like I never ordered at all.
