Completely gross...

Okay.....here's the email address going to the 'corporate department'.....

http://www.target.com/gp/help/display-contact-us-form.html?displayLink=tci

And the CEO is Robert J. Ulrich

Instead of just complaining on one site, let's shoot them off an email and let them know "the word is out" and let them know how we feel about their products and their disappointing blasé minimal response. ;)

I just did. I'm curious as to what their response will be.

Sadly Preco,
Corporate America could give a rat's tail hair about our families and children. All they care about is how to sweep it under the proverbial rug if a mistake is made, and, found out. Buoycot the product, the store, and, take it to the media! That will get them off their duffs to correct the problem and fast.
If folks ever saw the "true" process of manufacturing, shipping and receiving that goes on, the only thing we would be eating would be vitamins and water. Most companies try to be compliant with health standards, and, some like this company fall short and we the consumers pay the price.
Glad you emailed them, and, I hope you share with us their response to the same! Wonder where they are located?
Rags

I don't think their reply was adequate and short of a lawsuit (which is why they award punitive damages) this company isn't going to be responsible for what is their product from start to finish.

Amen Jerry.

Well Rags, there's power in numbers....... Please let us know what they respond to you as well.....

Exactly my point.

Preco,
You are correct with "power in numbers!" As such, I personally prefer to utilize the web site "Planet Feedback"

http://www.planetfeedback.com/

This site will formulate your letter for you, and, deliver it to the C.E.O. of the company along with their "Clout" if you will. The site also does letters of compliment, complaint, contributors share their experiences and ideas. For folks who may be more intimidated and not know what to say, or how to pen a letter, this site will be to their liking. It is a powerful consumer site, and, like you said, I prefer to lend my voice, to the voices of many. It is more effectual, and, I like the fact that my letter of complaint will be added to those of other consumers. Hopefully with "added pressure" comes faster conflict resolution.

Hmmm...an American based company to boot. I would have expected an overseas company to be more non-compliant with health standards. What gives with Target?:convinced:

Seems like a good site to bookmark. Thanks Rags.

When dealing with food products, these things are bound to happen.....I think Taget's response was abhorrent. This was not just a preference of taste.....they could've done better to make up for the very unpleasant condition of their product.

I often give my children granola bars for snacks........my child quite possibly would not have noticed. That's gross....*shudder*

Their response to me was ridiculous :jaw: and my 100% satisfaction would come when they respond to an email I sent to them saying that they have modified their production line procedures in some way to further prevent these creepy crawlies from entering their food products. (Utilize their Quality Assurance folks!)
I wasn't thinking of a lawsuit (although $50k would go a long way).
I'm still wary whenever I see these things on the shelf and I say "uh oh" to myself when I see someone grabbing for one. :p

You're too polite :like: If I see someone reaching for one I'll let them know what they might find.
