Amex - Get $20 Back for Spending $40 Twice at Walmart

Thanks much Spoofee! I was in Walmart this past Sunday evening and recalled seeing this offer. Punched up the website on my bberry while in store and registered my Amex card. Made 2 separate transactions that night one of $42 and the other $46 (we're talking boxes of diapers and baby formula which adds up!) in the same checkout line, and wouldn't you know it, today I have a credit of $20 on my Amex statement online! Awesome! Now to do it with my business Amex card! :)
thanks i just made my 2nd over $40 purchase today will see how long it takes to get my $20. how long did it take after you finished your last purchase?

It took only 3 days for it to post to my account, having made the purchases (both one after another) on a Sunday.

My $20 posted to my account on Sunday! Thanks Walmart!
:clap::clap:

Is this offer only for new Amex cards with Walmart or will they honor my pre-existing card?

It is for existing Amex cards

I have the same question,is this offer for new members only or already existing members?.I already have amex card.Please any help.Thanks

I believe it ended yesterday (or the day before)... Oh, and you don't have to be a new card member. It worked fine with existing cards.

This was a great offer. I used it 4 times with personal AMEX cards and 3 with Business AMEX cards. ($140 credit for expenses that were going to be incurred anyway). Credits posted as soon as next day (max 3 days). Oh, BTW, it works/worked with all cards under a same statement account (as long as they all have different numbers).

Is it me, or has Walmart lately become more competitive (pricewise) in grocery/food pricing?

Lately? I have always found Walmarts prices on food and groceries to be better then most local supermarket. Especially lately with prices at the markets increasing more and more.
I love Wal Mart!

Well, I guess it probably depends on the area (and -of course- what one typically buys), but from the Spring/Houston, TX area that I am basing my observations, I have found that Walmart is becoming more competitive in food pricing (i.e. Milk) as of lately (as opposed to -say- 6-12 months ago). The local supermarkets did have better prices a year ago than Walmart (for food items).
