Ah, Florida!

I believe I once drove through Winter Park at dusk and saw the greatest lightening display of my whole life. Thanks for the great hurricane link.

Ike is going through Dade County. Bad news for the good folks there, but that toilet is past due to be flushed.

K Ma I have only lived in Florida 2 years now,and this is the first time I had to deal with hurricanes.
I don't live on the Gulf nor the ocean side...I live in lovely Central FL...Polk County.

I hear he might swing up to New York. I hope you don't have the same sentiments about my wonderful city as you do of Dade. :28:

I've never been to New York, so I'll not pass judgement.
I've spent WAY too much time in Miami and it's environs.
Come to think of it, we may need to flush twice.

Well, we got the effects of Hanna yesterday. I happened to be out shopping at BJs and Costco and got drenched to the bone. The whole day (starting with stifling humidity in preparation for the torrential rains that had zero cooling effect) reminded me of Florida so much that I'll never miss it.
If you don't like 4 seasons and want as perfect weather as possible, move to San Diego. If you do you would do well to brush up on your Spanish as I understand the majority population doesn't just speak English any more.

At least it's much cooler today with much less humidity. It's actually a gorgeous day......:05:

That's because we're not in Florida. Although, if every day was like this, we'd be in San Diego.
