Apple and B&H Photo are competing to give you a better price on their Macbooks and iMac computers.

B&H only charges tax in New York State so it may end up being cheaper than a student discount.

Keep in mind that you can sell the gift card for $80-90 on eBay

If you know a cheaper way to get Apple Computers, please tell us here in the comments section

oh my... good thing the grammar nazis aren't up this early in the morning...

:peace:

still WAY overpriced.

You're right; why pay all this money for Macs when you can get a decent HP or Toshiba laptop for around $500 to $600. And you can get a great Desktop for even less!!

With Apple you're paying for the name.

Ken - a Happy PC user.

You can get a Netbook for $249, 120g hd, XP. I wish Apple would create a Netbook.

Well, it will get you plenty of viruses (shoudn't that be viri?) unlike with the Macs. It will get your laptop freezing up all the time.

Viri is used for the plural of virus when in the context of the biological beast. Viruses is used for the plural of virus when in the context of computers. :yesnod:

And though Apple computers are less of an attack vector for viruses, they still are vulnerable. It's the "my-computer-is-stronger-than-your-computer" way of thinking that will catch the Mac cult off guard when something big does hit.

Mortiki, feel free to post places that has them cheaper so we can inform other spoofers.

I did some searches on pricegrabber and I can't find prices lower than this for Macs.

That is the wrong way in thinking. Windows and Macs are both able to get virus, but virus target windows more because most people have windows. If it was the other way around Macs will get it more often.

The point is getting a virus is up to what kind of computer user you are. If you're newbie or have no clue how to operate a computer then yeah you will get a virus.

As long as you update windows and have anti-virus software along with knowing the threats on the internet you shouldn't have a virus. In all my years of having a PC (Over 10) I never had a virus once.

I am convinced that people that use this as an argument supporting macs and their insanely high pricing, have no idea how to use and maintain a computer properly. I have never had a pc of mine get a virus, or "freeze up all the time". Maybe that is just because I know how to properly use and maintain a computer.

You, too, can be tempted...
