Good ol' fordmus pointed out some nice deals in sept. Nothing good around these days outside of trying to get an order over $100 so I can use a staples or officemax coupon.

Anyone know of any good deals? Need something in that 350+ watt range like the apc 500va. Rebates? If anyone knows something lemme know, although probably if they did they would have posted it the deals forum already :)
 
Think I need something a little more powerful than that one at compusa, though I appreciate the time of both of you to look for me.

My step-father's just doesn't work anymore, and when he got it years ago he had...if I recall... a k6-2 450, maybe 128 megs, 14" monitor or ...no wait he he had a 17".

Not that his system is whiz bang, 900mhz duron, asus mobo, 256 megs, gf2 mx440. It plays the two only games in his life, MS train sim and flight sim 2002 just fine, board can run an athlon xp or a gf4 so if it gets slow, we upgrade it with a nice deal ;)

Anyway, think I need like a 350 watt ups, I know with just 1 hd, cdrom, and ide zip and the components I mentioned, it's hardly taxing the 350w enermax psu in the thing. Need something that will support the pc and monitor, cause this one is sucking down more than his old va503+ and k6-2 450 was.

I'll just sit tight for a month or so till something comes up, these rebates just keep coming back around. It's like WD, one for staples runs out, then it's available at bestbuy, or OD, or OMax or somewhere with a rebate. They're doing all they can to sell units right now.

Wonder if I mailed APC if they would tell me of any upcoming promotional offers?
 
Found one. Tigerdirect was having a bunch of rebates on assorted belkin UPS's, got a 650va which is 360 watts for 59.99 with a $20 rebate.

Yeah..I know it's Tiger...oh well...pray it goes okay and if not, yell at them or call the credit card and have them subtract 20 dollars :)
