Besides, I'd rather have a president with more brain than balls!

Kerry doesn't have either- no brains to make a good decision & no balls to stick with it.

Is that the best you can do? That isn't good enough to be Michael Savage material. Very weak.

Yeah, but look at the closeness of the vote in 2000. I may be incorrect again, correct me if I am, but Nader draws votes mostly from the democratic candidate. Nader definitely made the difference in 2000, and he can make a difference again if the election is really close. I personally think that if Nader hadn't run, the democrats would've won in 2000, because look at the amount of vote he got in 2000 and the amount of votes needed to change the election in favor of Gore.
Yeah. In Florida and New Mexico it was too close and Nader probably did cost the US alot!

If the election is as close, which it won't be, he could still make a difference. I agree though that he's less of a factor now than in the last election, but he's still a waste of resources and votes.

:hmm: :banghead:
I do ponder if he is stealing votes from the Democrats this year. He could be legitimately taking people who wouldn't be voting at all. Watch out for the Libertarians this year as well, though. They could help edge a few votes from Bush. His spending has displeased them greatly! Anyone with a straight head will vote Kerry, though I've met a couple "undecideds". Its hard holding your composure near undecideds because you can change their direction to Kerry, but you feel almost as if, "Where the *$(# have you been living the past 4 years? You either like Bush or don't. There is no gray area!"

:claps: Hahaha, I agree 100%. The undecideds are the ones who have the potential for rational thought, but are too lazy to employ that capacity.

This election is a total no-brainer (kind of like the incumbent candidate ;) )

I completely agree with you. Well said.

VP Debate 10/05/04

For those of you that watched the debate:

Was the moderator Gwen Ifill one of the worst mod's you have ever seen? I think so.

Examples (just to begin with)
* She addressed the VP as senator at least twice.
* She gave Edwards an extra 30 second rebuttle and when she realized her mistake interrupted him.
* She allowed each of the men to address each other when that was against the rules.
* When Cheney told Gwen he would need more than 30 seconds to answer a question her reply was "That's all you got!".

Gwen was full of mistakes, bad English and a bad representation for Cleveland. Case Western could have done better. It's one of or the most expensive school in the state.

I welcome your comments and other examples as I only touched on them.

While we differ in our political leanings, I agree that she was a horrible, horrible moderator. They should have gotten an 'actual' news person who is used to conducting interviews, but my guess is that they were trying to get in some 'diversity' into the debate, rather than have another old white guy as moderator.
While I'm not trying to start an argument on the VP debate, I do have to say that it was a much more even debate than the Presidential debate was.

I agree with all your points. Thank you for your opinions. Perhaps we could have asked Bob Newhart to moderate.

I agree, the moderator was not up to the task. It seems some of the questions were only appropriate to ask one of the candidates when in a debate the questions should be such that both candidates can speak to.

Yea really. Good point as well. What was that all about when Mr. Edwards was asked and started talking about the V.P's daughter being gay? It was very inappropriate to ask and obviously Mr. Cheney graciously bowed out.

Hey Cedar, where's that picture you found of Cheney as Mr. Burns during the debate? I wanted to show it to a friend.

I changed my mind and took it down, didn't want anyone crying over it.
But since you asked

Haha, thanks Cedar!! FYI to all: Please don't yell at Cedar or me about this. I just thought it was a clever idea and a great Photoshop job. I'd laugh the same if Edwards was shown as Rev. Lovejoy or something...

By the way, did you guys catch the Daily Show last night? They had the moderator for the next presidential debate. I have a feeling he'll be a lot better than Ms. Ifill was for the VP debates.

I have one some where with Edwards as a used car sales men

you should post it - that way, we'll have been fair to both camps :)

I'd have to dig for it, when I find it I'll post.

I'm watching the rerun right now LOL
Cheney must be kicking himself.

The only Simpson's one I can find easy with Edwards. So quit your crying I'm picking on both of them ;)
