Office Depot - 10 DVDRW + 30 CDRs for Free + Make $12 After Rebates

Got mine today

Got mine (DVDs and CDs) today via UPS. Box had obvious damage - I was expecting a lot of damage. No wonder UPS didn't even ring the doorbell this time. Suprisingly, the CD spindle was intact. The DVDs weren't in a spindle, and about half of the jewel cases were rendered useless.

For free or less, I don't hold it against OD. Staples has packed things much worse to the point of broken spindles and damaged disks. I select store pickup when possible except for free and extremely low priced deals because of poor packing.

Mine came on Tuesday (yesterday) also. No damage luckily. Sent off the rebates today ... now for the wait. First time I did one of these where you actually make money. :claps:

One of my dvd boxes was cracked, but the rest of it was okay. You have to print an invoice from od dot com.

Usually there is some fine print about not being able to get a check for more than the purchase price. I didn't see any in this case.

I had read some fine print on some circuity city rebates when I had 15/100 coupons they sent me, and they did have a line about "reserving the right to modify the rebate amount" if you were able to get the product for less than advertised AR. I had to call CSR on that one - they said it was for price matching, not their own coupons. I got it in writing that I would get the full rebate - but I didn't need to use the record as the rebate was paid in full.

I got them a couple days ago, but the box did not come with a receipt like how they normally would....so now what do i do so that I can send the rebate since it asks for the original sales receipt from the shipment box?

I've got the same situation. I'm going to use the email order confirmation they sent me.

Either the email confirmation or a print-out of the very last web page of your order - the one that has the last four digits of credit card. This one is in color and "looks" official.

Anyone who sent in their rebates checked online to see if the rebates are "in the system" yet? It is now three weeks since I sent mine and they are still not showing.

Same here, I sent mine for two weeks and still not showing anything. :(

CD-R's are showing Discontinued (not just out of stock) for my local store and the DVD-R's are showing a price of $17.00 for 10. :(

Mine was sent 3 weeks ago, and nothing yet. My experience with OD, the rebate status usually shows up online about 4 weeks after I have sent the foprms in.

Now showing as received on Jun 29th - was mailed on Jun 21. It sure takes long for them to actually post it on the web site. I'm sure I checked a few days ago.

Did your shows both rebates? (dvdrw and cdr?) Only one of my rebate is showing up though.

Yes, both show and when I click the View button the details on both say "No Errors". WooHoooooooooo! :D

Where Is This Rebate Coming From?

I got a rebate today - a single check for $30. I'm not sure if it is the OD rebate for the DVDs and CDs. I called the 800 number and the CSR doesn't think it is. The check is drawn on a Waverly, MN bank but was postmarked from Rebate Center, Coppell, TX, and the rebate form was mailed to Office Depot in Detroit, MI.

The website still shows "Processing".

I don't have any rebates outstanding that matches anywhere close to the amount of the check except for the rebates for the DVDs/CDs which are 2 x $14.99.

The only other identifying mark on the check is a logo that says Trans World Entertainment.

Anyone have an idea what this rebate might be for or for what vendor?

I just submitted a rebate for Fye today, and it says TransWorld Entertainment on there...maybe it's related to Fye??

I found out last night that it was for a Playstation that my sister-in-law bought. She lives abroad and would sometimes buy things with rebates and use my address without telling me.

So the rebates for the OD deal is still in "Processing" as of today.

Strange, I haven't had many OD things with rebates but since this deal on the media, I've bought two other OD items with rebates - the APC ups and the WD 160gig drive.

Finally rebate checks have been approved. Coming up close to 8 weeks since they were mailed ... I suppose that's par for the course. LOL.

damn, for the first time in about 14 rebates i've ever submitted, I finally got screwed over by this thing...they found my cd-rw rebate submission, but not my cdr, so I had to resubmit it....damn...ruined my streak:tongue:
