This is a huge deal with tons of rebates so get it while it's hot and before it sells out.

Get both the Netgear MR814 Wireless Router and the MA401 PC Card for $10 after $110 worth of mail-in rebates at Amazon.

1. Add the Netgear Wireless Router for $70
2. Add the Netgear Wireless PC Card for $50
3. Send the $20 router rebate and the $10 card rebate with the original UPCs.
4. Send in the $50 Amazon bundle rebate and the $30 Netgear bundle rebate with copies of the UPCs.

Netgear MR814: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006HYKM/102-6112548-1042555
Netgear MA401: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005B8HO/102-6112548-1042555
$20 Router Rebate: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00006HYKM.01.RB02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
$10 Card Rebate: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00005B8HO.01.RB02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
$50 Amazon Bundle Rebate: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00005B8HO.01.RB04.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
$30 Netgear Bundle Rebate: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00006HYKM.01.RB09.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

The final price is $120 - $110 in mail-in rebates = $10 with free shipping.

This should be really hot if all the rebates process through, so jump on it as soon as you can. Enjoy!

Are you sure that the $50 and $30 rebate will work with a copied UPC? thanks

From what I know, everything will work out fine with it. If there's a problem you can fight with them and since there were so many rebates, you had no choice.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you cannot use both of the Netgear rebates. It is in the fine print of the rebate that you cannot use the rebate with any other Netgear rebates.

I think it will work because they are individual product rebates then there is a rebate for the actual bundle. It's not like you're trying to use two rebates for the same product. Don't hold me accountable if it doesn't work but it should. It's Netgear's fault for running two rebate promotions that are completely valid at the same time.

The there is the perennial problem of all four rebate forms requiring the original UPC cut from product as stated above. Yes, you could use the "I had to use it for another rebate" approach but what is the prevalent response to that strategy. I will admit that Western Digital did allow a photocopy for the second with my explanation on the copy sent. (I got the WD 120GB for $9.99 AR(s)) But this is a risk of 1 original against 3 copies.

They could argue that the bundle rebate is the same as the individuals put together. $30 bundle rebate is $10 + $20 for individuals...

But I guess the Amazon is legit if copy accepted and the worst would be the Netgear bundle rejection, so $40 for both is still pretty good.

Maybe this just matters on how lucky you are.

Fifth Rebate on NetGear Combo and Make $20.00 !?!

If you guys are so sure about being able to use UPC copies and multiple rebates, why not go out to wheresmyrebate.com and add a fifth rebate for another $30 and make $20 on the deal? The second bundle rebate is offer #12775. It covers a similar time period including right now! Good luck!

One reaches a point when rebating changes from a pleasant pastime to a neurotic obsession. This deal is so chancey. Step back, take a breath, does one really need this wireless setup or is the hunt for deals the real goal here?

My thoughts,
Mike

Still, even if a couple of the rebates have issues, it's still going to be less than $50 which is still a hell of a deal.

2 things...

I just called the Amazon cust. relations # and I was told that because Netgear is offering coupons at the same time, they will not accept copies of the UPC code, only originals. So, it's the Netgear rebate(s) OR the Amazon rebates, not both. Too risky for me, when it's a chance on which guy is going to open my envelope - does he think I should be able to do copies or not?

wth no wat

yeh i jsut bought 2 of these one form me and one for a friend. Just got them yesterday and tried em out today. THEY WOR GREAT. Better then my old wireless AP. A linksys 4 port router w AP and the cisco 350 serise card. amazon droped the price of the router to 65 so if the reabates all come out, thats 5 bucks!!! what do u mean they wond accecpt copys. thats not fair, someone said they will. Well ill take the risk, hav no choice, does this mean ill be out 60 bucks a router???

Anyone tried Netgear?

I see a few have called Amazon to see if they'll take copies but no one has said anything about talking to Netgear to see if they will. Whenever I run into this problem, I always send the originals with the biggest rebate, so at least if the copies don't work, I can at least get the largest one.
Also, here's a little trick I just stumbled on. Recently purchased a product w/multiple rebates. Sent the original UPC in with the rebate to the company and they emailed me the status saying it wasn't enclosed... I'm sure some lazy letter opened dropped it on the floor cuz I know it was in there. So I email them and tell them I am sure it was in there and I no longer have the original. I get a reply saying I can send a copy. It occurs to me one could chance it by using the same strategy intentionally for a situation such as this. just a thought... Happy rebate hunting!

OK, just had another idea, send copies to all and keep the original UPCs. Then see where the chips fall and send the original to whoever bitches that they won't take it. If more than one complains, just say you thought copies were OK and that you lost the original since.

well i mailed mine out yesterday, too late for ur nice trick, will try next time but maybe the last one wont work so i would still mail the original wit the biggest ones. will see how it comes out.

EDIT: i thing no one can get a hold of netgear because there number is a bad asnwering systme ans u can never get to a live person.

Next time please watch your language, thanks. -Erik

Oh you guys!

I hate to burst everyone's bubble about this $10 deal for the wireless stuff, but if you would have read the bundle rebate forms, you would notice that both of the rebates are long expired. Don't order these products. You defintely won't get your money back.

Hey tenn83is,
How's it going?

This post was recently bumped up; thanks for the warning though. If you look a bit closer, the first post of this thread was posted on May 29, 2003, nearly two and a half months ago, so I'm pretty sure no one will try to buy those items anymore =P

Well, let's hope everyone is careful about buying the items, since threads can be bumped so easily. Thanks again! =)
