Now, I'm not saying that dropping $99 for 2 should be a daily occurrence, but if you truly appreciate fine dining and have something good to celebrate, why not spend the extra money? Remember, it's not just the food, but also the experience.

Very well said! Once a year is doable. It makes the special occassion extra special and memorable. $99 for two people is actually not bad considering the amount of food you get! Read my earlier posting to see just how much (quality) food you can get at a top notch restaurant!
 
I'd never spend this kind of money on one meal out for 2 people at leastwise unless I won the lottery or some huge amount of money fell into my lap. lol for starters I'd feel greedy and wonder if I shouldn't be giving $40 of it to the soup kitchen and eating at a decent place for a heck of a lot less but basically I'm just too cheap to spend that much. We however did get treated to a very upscale dinner from the company hubby worked for when they were trying to talk us into transferring to New Orleans. Don't remember the name of the place but to this day I almost drool at the meal we were served. I still remember how excellent the steak and the grilled shrimp were. The guy that took us there made sure we saw that the bill for the 3 of us was almost $400 and even though it was a memorable meal no way was it worth that much money especially when so many do without a meal at all. Everyone has that certain something they will spend too much on, food just isn't mine lol once you eat it well the end result is the same whether its a $100 dinner or a $10 one rofl.
 
This is a good deal for a special evening. The potato itself is a meal. The service is great and you have to love a resturant that serves Chimay Ale. MMM prime filet and Chimay.
 
Just went last night and got this deal. Wow! What a lot of food, super service, nice atomosphere. It wasn't someting I'd do all the time, but for a special night out it was great!

Drinks were $10.50 each and dh and I only had one each. We had the $99.00 special but by the time we added the 2 drinks, tax and tip it still cost us $60. $70 if you count vallet parking. (whoops! we had a $100 giftcard so this was in addition to that) Still, you should try it at least once.
