Rebate Update: Staples is putting up the rebate, it's not up yet. Evidently it's not an easy staples rebate but a paper one. If you call them they will email you the rebate. At least that is what I am told... not got it yet.
 
thanks for the deal. Needed to have a new copy so when the automatic bank updates expire for my 07, I can use this one.

What a dirty trick! I have a screen shot that says FAR... they added the other part just now. I am cool with mistakes... but I called them first (I know I know... never call)... but I called before I posted. They told me that they know the link was broke and they are fixing it. They also told me they would email me a PDF of the rebate. One phone call and two lies. I will call them later but you can bet the outcome will not be good. Even now there is no link to the rebate. Sorry to all you guys.... thought we had a good one here. :mad:

It would have been a great deal... Thanks for the effort. Is there anyway you can fix the title to reflect the requirement of additional purchase. Just in case someone may read your original post and go ahead with the order :doh:
 
Bought this on 11/28 and received it yesterday. Only rebate on box was for $20. Called Staples customer service and they knew there was a problem with their web site. Told me the rebate was with the purchase of tax software but since the web site didn't show it they would make up the $20 difference and issue a credit back to my CC. So it still worked out free.

Good Idea but can't edit it once you post again or something like that. I can only edit my last post. I have not heard back from Staples yet. Sorry guys... I thought I found a winner :verysad:
 
Once again, Staples customer Service sucks when it comes to correcting its own mistake. I dunno why people even bother POSTING their rebates any more - they fail to honor them at way too high a rate for me.
 
Over the years I have done several dozen rebates from staples and have always found them to be easy and honorable. I am not talking about the obvious price mistakes online, but legitimate deals. This appeared to be a legitimate deal to me so I posted it. Guess I was wrong on this one. Just FYI for anyone still needing this, there is a $20 rebate in the box, that deal still makes it worth it if you need it. IMO
