Just an FYI, the rebate form for the $30 compusa rebate requires the original UPC. As does, of course, the maxtor rebate, which we KNOW is only gonna fly with the original UPC. With bestbuy, often their store rebate will say photocopy of upc when there is another manufacturer's rebate also available. And we all know how good staples is about the manufacturer's + their rebate deal. Compusa though?

Last time I tried a rebate on compusa was for a fuji digital cam bought online. They rejected the rebate for not including the register receipt, when of course it was bought online so it wasn't going to have a register receipt. Copies of the order, packing slip, all that junk was included. After waiting 10-12 weeks to be denied, had to wait another 10-12 weeks once faxing them the same info again. Took about half a year to get the $50 rebate, and that was with the original upc no less.

Wheresmyrebate is going to receive the compusa rebate form, see that it says it requires the original upc, and when all they find is a photocopy they will likely reject it. If they do, you gotta call compusa or somebody and get them to validate it. So this depends on how good compusa is about rebates and validating them, and all that jazz.

Thoughts anyone?

P.S. I mean no disrespect. I am not trying to threadcrap, and it's a nice deal. I'm just pointing out a potential fly in the ointment that people might wanna know in regards to the 2 rebates, specifically the compusa one.

I completely agree with you about Compusa rebates

I bought couple of stuff on Sep 7th and mailed the rebates like september 15. I didnt get rebates till date. Compusa sucks big time when it comes to returning mailin rebates.
