I was very sorry to learn this week about the hijacking rule, because that is my favorite part of reading these threads! ....... So if it's me, please just hijack away!

I went to Ace Hardware at fifteen minutes before opening for the mp3 player (5 gig for 99 dollars with a 25 dollar rebate). I ended up returning it later in day when I realized the rebate is only if you pay more money to sign up to Rhapsody, whatever that is. It was very misleading on the box, if not deliberately deceptive. Thinking now I should have kept it, but I still had a swell time in line, with about forty male octogenarians. They were a total hoot!

One of them told a story about going to the David's Bridal Sale for his daughter who was working that day, and scooping up seven bridal gowns for her and being stalked by the screaming women who were trying to take them away from him. I'm not telling it right, but it was hysterical, plus they had free donuts and coffee!

Oh sorry, I probably 'misspoke'; but I got the impression from the 'Speaking of Thanks' thread's page 1 reference to the hijacking of the Christmas Tree thread (to which I unknowingly contributed) -- as well as the subsequent two apologies above -- that highjacking is a Spoofee no-no.

If I interpreted this incorrectly, I am glad, cuz personally I enjoy reading the threads that run amuck.

Perhaps I should go reread 'Forum Rules and Forum Information' announcement, I've been operating on the ignorance is bliss theory.

Like I said before, you will not find a thread that does not have some hijacking. I agree w/ you Heidi, it's fun to read when things go a muck and what is being said is all in good fun. I'm sure no one really dislikes it when the threads go off topic a bit. :teeth:

That being said, back to B. Friday -- after Ace Hardware I went to a clothing store chain for some unmentionables. I only needed one or two, but it was a "Buy two, Get two free" from that particular manufacturer. Then the lady behind me realized her ten dollar off coupon didn't apply to coats, and that's all she was buying, so she gave it to me, (unsolicted, honest!). So I got four of the unmentionables for darned near free! Yahoo.
