According to documents the McCain campaign filed with the Federal Election Commission Thursday evening, the single highest paid employee for the first half of October was
(drum roll please)
Gov. Palin's make-up artist.
Ms. Amy Strozzi, the travelling makeup artist for Palin, was paid $22,800 for two weeks services in helping improve the illusion of Gov. Palin. (The payment was called "Personnel Svc/Equipment" in the filing.)
The campaign's 4th highest paid employee in this period was Gov. Palin's hair-dresser, who received $10,000 for two weeks work (this payment was labeled "Communications Consulting" by the campaign).
