Hey, this is awsome, I just got my first freebies in the mail today......hm, and it's been like no more than since black friday for the delieveries to come by......pretty cool....well, i got my xm411 decal, looks interesting.and then, i got this one book from the "national right to work legal defense foundation" , with a book clalled "strangle-hold".....hm....that sounds familiar....but yeah.....pretty cool, they are in someone decent condition, considering it's just a paper cover, but oh well, free is free......whew......this is going to be cool....

and so far, i haven't run into any hidden fee scams with these offers yet. :claps:

Don't even try, there is no point to screw up your own name on a rebate.

I did and it worked. the bank didnt care and it got both my first and last name wrong

I'm not really talking about misspellings if it looks like they were trying ot get ur name. I'm thinking more of like if ur name was Bob Jones and you put Maria Sanchez or Binky the Clown. I dont know, I get paranoid I guess.

Why would you post this? Just because it worked for you does not mean it will work for eveyone. This is not the kind of advice you should be giving to the people here. :banghead:

I don't think it is wise to use a ficticious name for rebates. The banks are not going to cash checks for you with other people's names on them.

Defeats the point of looking and finding deals if you are just going to screw up the rebate, there is no reason for it. I use to work for B of A and we turned plenty of people away for having their names wrong.

Why on earth would you recommend this to people? mikenmike0001 is nervous and confused enough without giving him bad advice.

haha......i probably am a little nervous about all of this, because i've never stummbled on this real "free stuff" before....and i'm coming from an area of people that believe that this is all a hoax or something, but so far, it's been working.....nothing is wrong......everything posted is really FREE......ooooo i can't wait until those magazines come in...hopefully since these previous stuff that i just received yesterday said that it would normally take 4-6 weeks and they sent it in 2 weeks, then my other stuff will come before christmas, so that I have stuff to read..... ;)

hm.....have all of you had good experiences with rebates based on all the orders you've taken?

haha, you will probably hear some rebate horror stories now that you asked, but personally, i have never had a major problem with a rebate. On one occassion i got a post card saying my rebate was not purchased in the right time frame and therefore would not be paid, so i called and said "hey, idiots, yes it was." and they said "oh crap, sorry, here's your rebate"

I think everyone will agree with me that when it comes to rebates, copy whatever you send in. If you have copies, you can't have problems (unless you really did purchase in the wrong time period :))
