Grey Poupon - House Party - Coming Soon

yeah, I just signed up for my rejection

Imhilly... check your e-mail... I just got all three rejections back to back. Now they're truly cruel.

Nope, still haven't received a rejection.

When I got the Host a Taste of Grey Poupon HP email I sent a replied back to them with this:

"Do I really even need to bother applying, since you's are favoring Newbies from now on?"

What happens when they run out of newbies? Maybe they will start picking from a hat. I could picture them with a wall with all of our names on it and they throw darts at them and whoevers name gets hit with a dart gets picked LOL!!!

Nope, still haven't received a rejection.

When I got the Host a Taste of Grey Poupon HP email I sent a replied back to them with this:

What's a newbie? I'm not new to HP since I've applied for several for over a year but never been accepted so I would be new to hosting.

This was their reply back to my email:

My question is why say that we should keep applying when it state they don't want repeat hosts??

This is in reference with your Request Ticket Number: CR00003683.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent House Party application.

While we understand your frustration, hosting criteria can vary widely from party to party--from geographical location to number and ages of children to buying preferences to requiring members or previous customers to just the opposite--new customers only.

As House Party events are becoming increasingly popular with larger and larger pools of applicants, there will consequently be a larger proportion of applicants who are not selected--due to sheer numbers. We are also beginning to make a concerted effort to spread hosting opportunities to a larger number of people--rather than having a smaller group of people hosting parties over and over. I will let you know that as we move in this direction hosting opportunities for repeat hosts will depend increasingly upon the level and depth of online engagement in all aspects of each party--from uploading photos, to blogging to using our online invite tool to manage their guest lists.

We truly appreciate your taking the time to share your views, and hope that your disappointment will not discourage you from applying to future House Party promotions. While selection as a host is never guaranteed, we will take your feedback into consideration on future applications. Also, we should note that many of our clients are starting to consider larger promotions, allowing us to accept more hosts. We hope you will continue to apply for parties which are of genuine interest to you and your friends, and wish you the best of luck.

Thank you again for your interest in House Party.

Please reply back to this email without changing the subject line if you have further clarifications.

Sincerely,

http://helpdesk.houseparty.com/

It fascinating to me that they have achieved success thru our efforts and now throw us under the bus....they should attempt to rotate hosts - maybe give us all a max number of parties/annually to accept. It could be more like Bzz Agent?

Thanks for applying to host The Taste of Grey Poupon House Party!

Your application has been received and will be processed.

However, we will notify you on or about September 29, 2008, to let you know if you've been selected to host The Taste of Grey Poupon House Party.

I find this answering impressively vague.
House Party is addictive. As soon as I get wind of another party I am applying only to get the rejection email (unless it is Star Wars, for my kids)
I applied for Grey Poupon even though I don't like mustard. Is there a 12 step programme for this?

*Not your answer, HP's email
