Frugal Ways to save $$ everyday?

but take a Bounce fabric sheet and loop it through the loop on your jeans or shorts...skeeters hate the smell of them.

Oh yes, we do that too. I will take and rub it on my clothes and skin so I don't look like I've got a roll of TP hanging out. It works wonders! :bigok:

These are some great tips! I can say, I use Vonage. I live in NC. My family lives in NJ, FL, MO, OH and VA. I talk to them all the time and don't worry about the phone bill. I even tell them to call me and hang up so they don't have to pay for the long distance charges. 25.00 a month for local and all the long distance.

This was a great thread, thought I'd bump it up and see if any newbies had any other great ideas for everyone.

OK, this one may sound gross, but I read it in an old issue of Woman's World and it works great! to reduce the appearance of baggy and puffy eyelids, use Preparation H cream!? Well, think of what it does for --- other inflamed areas... This does work! If only for a few hours, but it's great! Seriously...

Here is one...my cat loves her "name brand" cat food and refuses to eat the other kind. So, I bought one of the large bags of the name brand stuff. When it was empty, I bought a medium size bag of the name brand and a small bag of the generic and mixed the two together in the large bag. She didn't know the difference.

On a related note, my husband HATES generic cereal. He just doesn't know he's been eating generic for about 3 years! I just keep swapping out the empty plastic bags and reusing the name brand box. :)

I heard of a guy who taped his refridgerator light off to save electricity.

The craziest thing I do now is cut my Olay facial cleansing cloths in half. It's still plenty big enough.

When I have time I'll have to list some of the crazy things I've done! :)

The new foam type of soap dispensers are refillable and much cheaper than buying new ones. You just need to dilute whichever type soap you want to use.

I get as many coupons as I can and trade some also. I've gotten so much free stuff at Walmart, and Krogers which doubles & triples everyday. I'm a CVS & Walgreens shopper too and have prolly saved several hundred dollars at those 2 stores alone so far this year.
Since my public library rarely has the books I'm interested in and books are too expensive, I belong to an online book swapping club and only pay $1.50 postage. The audio books are available too.
I bought 16 sets of toddler's Fisher Price outfits for .10 each on clearance! There were 5 different designs so I'm giving 5 to my nephew and the rest to the local childrens' center.
The nearby Goodwill store is nice & clean. It's the only place I buy perfectly good jeans like new for .99 or a couple of $$.
