K so I haven't read through the other posts but make sure that if you plan on donating, your hair has NOT been highlighted or bleached. My hair was so long and I was going to donate it to locks of love but I had previously had my hair highlighted and they will not accept it. Just regular colored is ok but not highlighted or bleached. Something with the way that it breaks up during the process. I was sooooooo sad. I ended up going and getting it cut anyway. Cut off 15-20 inches. (its layered). When the lady cut off the first chunk and just tossed it in the trash I was so sad!
