this is refer a friend program at least for lyft... for real savings join via referral from a friend and then you both get one free ride up to $25
 
Be careful of these ride shares there have been many assaults as of late (Google uber and you will see). Try to do these in groups if at all possible... and be careful out there, most people are good and honest, its those few who ruin a good thing like this.
 
Uber is terrific. I use it to get to the airport. Instead of bothering someone at 6AM I now call Uber. The driver gets to my house in 5 minutes. Its always a luxury car in perfect condition. The driver is dressed like a professional. He carries my bag and holds the door. Cheaper and much more pleasant than a dirty old cab.

Don't listen to that poster who said there are many assaults in an Uber car. Thats BS. Uber checks out both you and the driver, They know who you are. Both identities are documented.
 
The whole concept breeds creepers - I'll never use these services. Friends, cabs or my personal vehicle or nothing.
 
Just used Uber to go from the Cruise Port to a car rental place. The driver arrived in about 15 mins due to locating the cruise port I was in. GPS thru the Uber app was a lil off but he found us. I requested an XL vehicle for all 4 of us and our 8 luggages and they fit nicely in the newer model Suburban that picked us up. Looking forward to using the service again!

these alternative taxi companies take 20% of drivers profits, AND they force them to provide free rides.? hopefully they use some of that % toward paying the drivers through all those promotions.

My fiance and I are in need of help our transmission went out of car 2 wks ago it was a buy here pay here and now we have lost our job and home and I have 6wks til court to get my girls back with dependcy a home and job we will be homeless Wednesday morning we need temporary transportation and shelter until we get a job and money to get transportation don't know what to do we are stranded in bethpage tn
