Yes, It shows the drive as unallocated space. I can create a partition of 232.88 gb just fine. When I try to format it, it says formatting.... then "the disk format did not complete successfully". Could you email me rather than posting here? I dont want to upset anyone with the length of this thread

It sounds like you need to use a Dynamic Drive Overlay (DDO). You can read more about DDOs here.

What is DDO?

The Ontrack "Dynamic Drive Overlay" (DDO) is a proprietary device driver that enables a system to overcome the limitations of their system BIOS. Without a DDO, some systems will not translate your drive properly, barring you from full access to your drive. DiscWizard determines whether your system needs a DDO and installs it if necessary.

P.S. I posted here so that other individuals having the same issue might know how to correct it.

Well, I still dont know why it wasnt working right, but the problem was solved by reformatting my windows drive and reinstalling windows xp. After that everything worked like it was supposed to. I guess I was due for reformatting anyway. Thanks for everyones help tho.
