(Expired) allure august update

it turns out i got screwed out of my mabilline lipstick also (I was hoping there was more that I got screwed out of). I dropped an email to them and let them know. hopefully something will come out of it.

Tonya has been responding to all requests from people on this site and one other (a much larger group). I gave out her e-mail, and I thought she'd send the police to my house! But, she said it was OK to give it to my "friends." Anyway, today, I received via UPS THREE Maybelline lipsticks (because I told her I wore burgundy usually--not red--so they sent the exact one from Allure and two others), my shampoo and conditioner (Garnier), and four full-size Garnier skin care products (because I mentioned that I loved their new skin-care line, I guess)--a cleanser, make-up remover towelettes, an Ultra Lift Moisturizer and a Skin Renewal Moisturizer. I almost fell over! All together, the value is around $75 w/tax. All I was supposed to get would have been worth $16. Tonya is my hero, and I will write to thank her.

Goody sent me an e-mail asking me to forward my winner's notice from Allure. Ha? Allure does not let you know that you have won anything. I told them to contact Allure for verification.

Nothing from Benefit--and as I said, others have reported NO LUCK getting their stuff from this co. in the past.

Do you think it would be possible for Allure to post the winners each month on their site and leave the list up for a couple of weeks, so everyone can verify their wins? Are pdf files postable? I had thought about sending Allure an inquiry about doing this...but just wanted to see what others thought. Seems like it would cut down on their email problems a whole heck of a lot! I too was missing two items that I won. I wrote the companies and they are sending me the items soon.
 
I'm very glad you will be getting your items. I agree with you that Allure (and Lucky, etc.) should post the winners lists on their sites and leave them up for a month or so, but they obviously don't want to do this. Maybe they think this will cause them even more work! By all means, write to Allure.

I heard back again from Goody, and they are sending me my brush.

As expected, no word from Benefit yet.
 
My Goody Brush arrived today USPS, and Benefit called me and left a message that they will be sending out the August prizes this week. Ha? August--they're just going to send them out now? I'm sure it's because Allure got after them. Now--we need the winners' lists for Sept. and forward. Bet there are other things missing from all those months as well.

Yes, wouldn't that be nice. You seem to be the only one that can get any sort of winner's list out of them. Just light a fire under them again! :rant:
 
I have not heard anything from Garnier.
Pat do you think you could pm Tonya's email address.
I got an email from Maybelline telling me to contact Allure, when I emailed Allure they told me to go back to Maybelline

You are right they should post the winner's list on the site.

FedEx just dropped off a 5 oz Fekkai Coiff Defense Pre-Style Thermal/UV Protectant. I can't find where this prize came from. I don't see its description in any of the giveaways. I wasn't expecting it...but I'll take it! :claps:

I emailed her because I'm missing the Lipstick in Candied Apple (was going to buy it but talked myself out of spending the money). This was her reply

We are aware of the issue and are working
fast to send these products out to the winners. You should receive your
product by the end of April.

When I have written Allure about this, they said I needed to send a request by mail with a SASE to receive a copy of their winners' lists. So presumably they would be paper lists and not PDFs.
 
Someone on another board is supposed to be getting ahold of the lists for Sept onward. Just a wait and see--and I think you're right, Ellie. They usually don't send PDF's, but they just attached it to their e-mail to me for the August prizes. If they don't give her PDF's, not sure if they'll be as easy to access.

Better late than never! And if I hadn't gotten my hands on this hot little list, there would have been literally thousands of prizes (mostly from another board) that would have never been sent out. Now everyone is getting tons of stuff they didn't even know they had won. Someone at Allure must not have sent the winners list to all the companies for the August deals. Good for you, Goldfish! I'm stil waiting for my Benefit, but they said they'd be sending all the winners their prizes this week.
